Never crashedI turned off permission windowsIts fast
As for Vista?? I`ve never used it, and was nervous about switching from even `98 to XP (was afraid things wouldn`t be compatible anymore), but so far XP has been awesome.. My brother used Vista and had to switch back to XP because it caused him nothing but problems..
Don`t even start saying I know nothing about computers either. My ex boyfriend has his own IT business and all I EVER hear about is computers. He actually set me up with this one. I would`ve gotten a Mac, but my mom refused to buy one. So I ended up with a Dell.
It makes me feel my age, but I remember writing games in 16K, being really grateful when dual floppy drives were introduced, and saying "Whoa!! That`s faster than I can TYPE!" when I first used a 1200 baud modem to dial up a BBS (an online forum/download/chat system prior to the web). Soon enough, we`ll think nothing of having petabytes of RAM (1PB = 1000TB).
And Windoze will still use it all, I predict.
And evanking will be drinking age.
My thoughts on mac commercials:MAC IS A BITCH, when does pc make commercials flaming mac, only mac does it to pc. i had mac, and i enjoy gaming, mac runs like 6 games, thats including minesweeper. Mac mouse looks like a white dildo, and that poo is gay, i love the start button, how the drat do u even drating import something on a mac.
A computer is like air conditioning- doesn`t work with Windows open.
Its fine with the basic stuff, but trying to actually get a half decent programme running is a mass of complication. Its like Vista has been put on Earth to make computer life harder.
Not a fan.
1. On a computer with over minimum requirements it ran half-life 2 like poo
2. It doesn`t have ipx network support with is somewhat important for a gamer.
3. On the same computer mentioned above it got several BSOD right out of the box.
Im now running XP on that computer and have had no issues since.
so s*ck it
Pretty easy to use. Same with the Mac.
I have both Windows and Macintosh. They both have their fair share of pros and cons but what you`re getting with the mac is less hassel. So I`d rather pay the extra cash to not have to worry about viruses and all sorts of crazy spyware. It simplifies everything.
one more thing - you can right click on a mac. there`s just not a tactile button for it.
btw, i`m a pc user (who is ready to switch because of my countless BSOD`s and virus that mcafee can`t get rid of).
raise your hand if you can right click!
I have Vista on my PC and it seems fine, i havn`t had any blue screens etc. I`m not saying it is perfect (i get annoyed by the ask permission screens and i find its new filing system confusing)
If you don`t like windows don`t use it. For most people they just want the easiest to use system. ITS ONLY AN OS FOR CHRISTS SAKE!
tho most people might upgrade because of the `Games for Vista` thingy
Windows, from it`s very humble and plagiarized beginning, is garbage. It always has been and it always will be. Someone mentioned that it is the McDonalds of technology...they are absolutely right. Microsoft = McDonalds, Apple = a fine steakhouse, Linux (all versions) = that strange little vegan eatery where they have drum circles on Thursday nights. Sure, their food is technically better and more nutritious, it`s even organic and they grew it themselves, but who wants to eat that crap?
Anyway, had Steve Jobs been savvy enough to employ better marketing techniques in the 80`s, the world would be a much happier place today.
This post is too long. I need coffee.
Anyway, it was still funny
F*ck you Bill Gates... fix my computer!
