At least we still have our so called dry wit. (:
You have just generalized an entire continent, as people who are American hating. Congratulations: Have a cookie.
Oh, and the currency of island is the Euro.(Not sure if north ireland is the same).
1. old people with dementure2. some farmer who knows only of vegetables3. some chav tracky night hoody trouble maker who misses school.
Although we call choc-chip cookies "cookies", not biscuits, strangely.
And to whoever asked about Digestive Biscuits. I believe in the US the closest thing is Graham Crackers, but we`d never call them crackers, as a cracker is thinner and more brittle/dry.
And despite technicalities, I`d still call white a colour, to whoever said it wasnt one.
I did like how a lot of people bitched about the type of people who were questioned, and the questions asked. Oh yeah, and the whole, "THEY AREN`T BRITISH!" Jebus. I`m gonna have to try that.
Those people from Alabama aren`t American! They don`t even sound like me! I smell a little role reversal with a touch of "the pot calling the kettle black".
This post amused me. Thanks for that.
...Apologise. The ENGLISH way to spell it. From ENGLAND.
And you`re referring to the English flag (red cross on white field). The British flag (i.e. the country known as the UK) is the Union Jack.
Of course, I`ve assumed here that we are all Earthlings...
i had to laugh at that, i havent read the comments...but seeing there are so many there is probably already a country war in here...*sigh*
"In this clip, you only see him ask questions to inexperienced teenagers and senior citizens. But if you take a look at the "Americans are NOT stupid" clip, the interviewer asks questions to people of all ages."
"if they go and ask the elderly and the children, then of course the result can be like this. the Americans interviewed in the other video are mostly young adults/middle aged people."
Yes, I`m sure there isn`t a single middle aged or young adult European who is stupid. It`s just all the teens and the elderly.Well thanks for clarifying that.
Be a little more technical next time.
your so hot XD :P
Maybe it was in Yorkshire.
However, these are the Europeans main arguements now.
Yes, our languages are semi different (w/ slangs)Yes, we have different education systems and requirements. And BOTH sides of the ocean have had some poor people making decisions at different times throughout the course of the different countries existance...
But that doesnt make people from anywhere stupid or idiots. Some Americans Are naive... as are some europeans. Some cant tell a digit from a letter or a bisquit from a creme brule.... but that doesnt mean any one is stupid.
What makes people stupid, is the fact they will get on a website, and tell someone they cant use an arguement, and 5 days later use the same arguement when something is said against them....
Uhhh... I mean... poop, pee, erection.
That is, public perception id not based on truth and lies, it is based on what is INTERESTING.
Some people over here really are drating stupid, but not ALL of them. Any group of people will look stupid if you pick the stupid ones out. First it was the Americans, soon it`ll be Sudan or Australia or whatever.
So, I would call myself an American. What do people from England call themselves?"I`m an Englander?""I`m an Englishman?""I`m an English person?"
Or is there no equivalent? One simply says, "I`m from England." Or "I`m English."
Same with Irish people, Scottish people, and Welsh people.
Stick to being funny mkay
^Patriot Puppy said"I don`t think they would be shockingly low.By your own description, I would expect the figures would be shockingly AVERAGE."
I would have thought his point was perfectly clear, that compared to other nations, the figures would be low. Could you not read that into it or a you just a pedant?
Oh wow, 10 random people couldn`t answer stupid trivia questions - that entire country must be full of idiots. -______-
(though, to be fair, this guy went out and took a survey he wrote by himself, and I`m just pasting links)
I don`t know, this video proved nothing except that you get idiots all over the world (minus Canada, of course), not just America. Amazingly.
I`m going to start adopting British slang into my American vocabulary. British slang is so much more colorful (colourful)!!!!
do i even want to know what a digestive is?
Also, I love how a good 50% of the questions wereasked to a 7 year old boy and a bunch of brain-dead 14 year old dropouts.
Nice try Britain, we`re still dumber.
"3rd." I was waiting for somebody to say that, actually, but I didn`t think anybody would. lol.
I`m from the proudly impenetrable northwest :-)
I don`t think they would be
shockingly low.
By your own description, I would expect the figures would be
shockingly AVERAGE.
I`m not English, but I am Welsh.
Anyway. this video just proves hat you can do this with any country in the world.=D
Few people actually use the words geezer and bird... chav is current though.
I love how spell check suggests hell instead of Rhyll...
Also, this wasn`t as fair or well done as the American one... He was asking senile people and children on the most part, and a few of the rest were blonde...
And yeah, American Chavs are called Wiggers.
if the guy had asked some people older than 10 then he might have got a better answer, there also seems to be a lot of teenagers in the clip also god i bet half of them cant even spell there own name lol.
And don`t expect a British people to acknowledge an EU flag - let alone remember what it looks like.
Although I note with interest that they mostly asked northerners...
On a different note though... if we were to take the AVERAGE intelligence of the British population and the AVERAGE intelligence of the American population, I`d like to see the results. I suspect both figures would be shockingly low.
Take that, suckers.
and you guys dont say cheeky monkey? :|
oh and psdo americans have chavs??or do they call them something else?chavs run this country more or less. though its been taken over slowly by emos/indiesboth prove equaly annoyingnoone is normal over here. noone.!
Aaaanyway, ON topic:
I think it would be a solid humanity morale-booster if we were to see a video like this where everybody answers the questions correctly. However, that would be boring.
Close, but those were phrases which were only used a little bit a few years ago. At the moment in schools (i`m 13) we have this incredibly frustrating thing going on where some of the dumber kids seem to think that they are "hard" and "gangster" and dont realise how pathetic it makes them look. Our insults around here are very blunt at the moment, eg "Twat, wanker" but I try to avoid using words like that since the supposedly ganster kids use them all the time.As for "Bird" i haven`t heard that one in a long time. Most people use the word fit, so it`s "that is a fit girl". Now that i think about it, my school f*cking suc
So`s the video."
cookies and biscuits are different.I dunno why, one of my workmates told me off once when i went to get cookies out of the oven, and called them biscuits.Buscuits are like,Digestives, Rich Teas, CUSTARD CREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!And bourbons.Stuff like that.Apparently.
As for our spelling of colour all i gotta say is we came up with it first if Americans want to change how it is spelled thats their choice but laughing at is a bit stupid
Same thing, sounds different.
So`s the video.
I`m not saying there is anything wrong with either- it is just hard for me to call them the exact same language.
That`s why English and American should be considered two different languages.
But, on another note, if he came to Stoke he`d probably get `butted by a beefy chav.
and that is not accurate since he asked less than 10 people
try asking people who are WORKING or have a job, he might get more intelligent answers
no wait it`s not Blair is it anymore isn`t it.. It`s ilke... ehhh Gordon Brown or something...? Oh well they all look the same.
