Simple light exposure. Like in old time photos, you had to sit still for 30 seconds to take a picture so all the light could be captured onto the film. Same principle, except here you move the light as you like in a dark environment to make images.

Ive been doing this kind of stuff for awhile its really fun to make, im glad that it is catching on. Just set your cameras shutter speed to like 10-30 seconds and get some lights and draw whatever you want.

You stand in front of a camera with a really slow shutter speed. Then you move the light about and capture it. Duh!!!

The light looks like actual flares from the camera moving during exposure. I hope they didn`t cheat and put them on by hand...however some of the identical shapes makes me think so.

In that case, this is nothing more than a `shop`.

its stop motion... they put the camera to capture any light for a couple of seconds.. and they do the drawings... then after that they do more drawings then so on and so forth..
