Incredible animation of a machine that plays a pretty catching tune - with ping pong balls.

It was pretty cool, but it got a little boring after a while.

Animusic is the CD, and it has 6-7 episodes in which one is this one called Pipe Dream. Other cool ones are:

Future Retro
Harmonic Voltage

And I forgot the rest.

Wasn`t this called "ani-music"? or something to those lines. I remember watching this highschool a few years back.

hmm.. i`m glad it`s a repost, because i didn`t manage to catch it the first time...

i`m surprised there`s no incredibly bored, time-wasting person out there who has attempted to recreate this in real life.. i don`t even know if it`d be possible, but i bet someone has tried..

I have both of the Animusic DVD`s. They`re amazing. It takes these guys years to produce these animations. Everything is generated based on MIDI music they wrote. The instruments, if they could exist, are designed to be able to play the whole range of notes each instrument plays. In other words, you`re not watching an animation made to go with music, you`re watching an animation driven by music, if that makes any sense to you. You should see the multi-guitar and the drums animations from Animusic 2. Great stuff. Can`t wait till Animusic 3 comes out.

BigBonnie: "remember, not everyone has seen this, just because you have!"

See, the thing is, if someone wants to see an old post that they haven`t seen before, all they need to do is go back a bunch of pages, or click random. Reposts clutter up the site.

To everyone going on about it being a repost... so what? It`s better than a lot of the posts like the ones of the people being injured whilst working etc, plus remember, not everyone has seen this, just because you have!

"Who came up with "Ping Pong Balls"? they`d have to be metal balls to simulate the sounds. Ping Pong Balls just wouldn`t get it. Ping Pong Balls, are you crazy?"

So crazy, that it just might work.
