Ok so some athletes take performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) to become stronger and/or faster. But is that really a form of cheating? Let`s see, if you take too much PEDs, you are screwed. So (if desired) take as much as possible without getting sick. You still need to work out to get things going. So thinking about it, PEDs are an extra element in the competition. And it does stir things up a little. Now is that really cheating? I think not!

OMG at Barry Bonds. He looks like any skinny black man when he was young. And now looks like black hulk. Maybe it`s just the pic. But damn, what a change.

tooo me it seems like sum of the pics were taken at different times and positions soo it is kinda hard to tell what the diffence is cuz like yea well um. i think this proves nothing
btw i think steriods are soo freaking stupid unless u use them for med. not mus.

All they did was take the most biased pictures ever. I mean really, they could`ve taken something better. While they were playing, for example, and until they fix this steroid BS, I`ve just stopped watching/playing/enjoying baseball. It`s just too sad.

Considering most of the before pics were of them in highschool and the new training programs now, those pics prove very little

it`s really sad that most of these guys could have gotten that big simply by having a clean diet and intense training. they could have gotten it naturally. thats why some of these guys just look fat. ie: roger clemens and mo vaughn, they look like friggin pigs. i have no issue if a person uses steroids at all! I`ve even used a (legal) prohormone myself, but when it comes to sports and competition it`s called cheating and there`s no excuse at all.

Eh, not exactly, Mandkins. Some steroids were always illegal. They just didn`t have as stringent testing as they do now. And he never really admitted to using steroids.... He just wouldn`t say he didn`t use them. lol Although I think he did, which is sad, because I was a big McGwire fan, and I`m still a huge Cardinals fan.

to be honest nobody said a thing when this was going on and WHO complained when mcguire and sosa were having the home run duel in `98?hell it put bums on seats and baseball on tv all over the world!

To me only two were bluntly obvious. Big Mac, and Berry Bonds.

Mark Maguire admitted to doing steroids. He just did them before they were illegal.

i think baseball really needs MORE players using roids. The game is boring as drat, i would go to a lot of games if i knew they would be pitching ridiculousley fast and each hit would be out of the park.

baseball is gay anyways, play lacrosse

this is why the mlb is gay, they pretty much do not enforce any of their steroid rules at all, untill now. theyre just trying to make people happy with all the people they`ve "caught" using roids. plus no one uses roids anymore, everyone`s getting into HGH

the roger clemens after pic just looks like it was caught at the wrong moment.

these are really bad comparisons. they should`ve made pictures of each at bat or pitching isntead of old rookie cards and face shots.

I say that they allow performance enhancing drugs in sports. I mean the use of performance enhancing drugs, supplements, substances, or whatever have been used in athletics since the Greek Olympians. It`s going to be legal eventually anyhow.

Seriously people though think about it......

The compare and contrast is people when they first started, compared to now.
So a pre-early 20`s to 30s *at least*
add that w/ a personal trainer- hours of practice & hours of working out, and of course they are going to look different.

Now obviously some of them have, but seriously.. all of them? Its called strict diet and control

ya some of them definitely use steroids
but come on
some of the pictures have like 5 years difference, just cause they are stronger doesn`t mean they do the roids
its called working out
some people are still old-fashioned

-And what`s up with these pics? You can hardly tell if they did change and that`s all while excluding the mugshots. Since when can you tell if somebody is juicing by their rosy cheeks?-

when their heads get to the size of a friggin pumpkin it`s pretty obvious.

What`s up with the picture of Mark McGuire? Looks like it was taken from a porn flick.

Whatever happened to playing `real` baseball? Idiots need steroids to play better? Then they shouldn`t play at all. They must have really sucked if they needed that sh*t.

Yeah, we KNOW conseco was on the juice (his book). As much as I dont wanna say it, Bonds does too. I`m a BIIIG Bonds fan. Correction, I was after the mitchell report. Oh, and Vaughn? That Sh*t is unnatural. See how Swollen his face is. When people get fat like that they dont have muscles undearneath. Thats why I dont think Sheffield juiced BASED on photo evidence

I just looked at a picture of myself when I was 18. I guess I spent the last 12 years taking steroids too.

Not that I think these guys didn`t juice, but the photo stuff isn`t always that conclusive...except for maybe Barry Bonds. Yikes.

While I believe all of these guys juiced, I don`t think these particular pictures show anything. Yes, most athletes are skinny little sticks when they first break into the pros. Then after years of training they will be bigger. The head is a tell tale sign. If the head is bigger they`ve used steriods, Maguire, Bonds, Vaughn, Sosa. But yes, they all juiced.

Conseco just put baby oil on himself to look SHINY - his arm is rather muscular even in the early photo.
I don`t understand how anyone could reliably decide who took steroids just from these pictures.

Yeah, John Rocker makes me laugh (though I loved having him on the Indians!).

I wouldn`t say that pictures are an obvious sign, but just look at Bonds` arms, Clemens is obvious, Giambi`s obvious... McGuire got huge..

I dunno, I say they had to be taking SOMETHING

ya I have to agree that this prooves nothing. It is funny that these guys were scrawny early on, but then again most athletes look much different after years of working with a trainer regardless of wether or not said trainer gives you steroids.

I just hope they dont go the blanket ban route like pro cycling. Why not just put caps on testosterone, blood oxygen levels, and the other major signs of a doper?

Jason Gimabi might have muscles, but he still has a mullet and thats a definite vagina repellent.
