Damn right she did. Don`t want to get tassed, do what the cop tells you to do. It costs you nothing but time and maybe a little dignity to let them put the cuffs on you, it means nothing. Most times they put handcuffs on you just to make sure you are under control, safer for everyone that way. It really is no big deal, but once you start to put up a fight two things happen:

    1. The cops assume you have done/are doing something wrong and start to look for it.

    2. You actually end up breaking a law by not complying (i.e. interfering with a police investigation, assaulting an officer, etc.)and now they have to take you to jail.

Use common sense and don`t let a bad night turn into a bad year or more.

    "That`s fine, leave me alone."

Why are people insulting the police here? It`s obvious the woman was at fault here. Even if she isn`t drunk, she was resisting arrest at that point.

When people get tazed it`s just to make them stop moving... I wouldn`t say that she deserved it, just that it was a little necessary.

And AtomicMuffin is right it doesn`t hurt that bad... my older brother had a taze gun and I tazed him and his friends and they screamed a little then laughed and one of them just stood there and took it like it was nothing. He said it just made his muscles stop working...

Getting tazed is a lot better in the long run. She could have been pepper sprayed or pried out of the car with an ASP. Pepper spray last for hours and using an asp for a leverage tool could have done injury to her arm. When someone is tazed it is 5 sec of muscle lock up and then the effects are gone. No lasting effects. They are one of the best tools Law Enforcement has received in long time.

Nice. Totally well deserved. I don`t know how many times she was told to get out of the car. But people like her are really annoying JUST to watch, imagine how the police officers feel. I feel bad for them having to deal with people like this, tazing her would do more than put a smile on my face. =)

This is yet another case of egregious use of the taser. The police should have been perfectly capable of subduing her without it. A taser is one of the more dangerous weapons a police officer carries (safer than a gun but more dangerous and less tested than pepper spray or a baton) and as such should only be used on a suspect who poses a real danger to an officer. True she`s accused of biting, but we don`t actually see that. Use of a taser to force compliance is torture. But we know the US government approves of that.

i´ve seen police and security corps(large, near mercenary like ones) carry combat knives and such instead of batons even for law enforcement work,so ya,baton would be nicer, plus a taser can cause some really nasty damage if it aint used right or if it breaks and gives you a near lethal jolt.

This is idiotic. Tasing was unnecessary. Police are trained to subdue a suspect without unnecessary violence.

Besides, the electrical shock freezes your muscles. If you get tased, it`s often nearly impossible to move.

I believe tasing is dangerous and in most cases should be deemed excessive force. Police officers use the taser as the first line of defense. They don`t use it when someone is an imminent threat to himself and to other, nor if the person is trying to run away. No. They use it before even TRYING to take the perosn out by force.

Thats why I think tasing is the lazy way to get things under control. Did you see the amount of effort the officers did to get her out? It was basically saying "get out or you get the shocker". This isn`t a 350 pounds biker on coke, it`s a dumb lady who is just freaked. The police couldv`e easily just pulled her fat ass out of the car and give her the cuffs.

What did the police do before tasers? They certainly didn`t shoot people when they didn`t comply. I find that tasing is ALOT worse then getting tackled to the ground or anything that is manual that way.

a few people have said all they did was tell her to get it and then tase her. did you watch the same video? what i saw was a one cop standing by the driver door so she couldnt run win she got out telling her to get out another cop with the taser at the other door and a few more cops standing around the car. she wanted to argue rather then getting out. the cop at the driver door tried to pull her out she resisted being pulled out 3 or 4 times. even after she was tased she resisted getting the hand cuffs put on her. i dont know if she was but i think being drunk should automatically double punishment for any crime and authorize excessive force to be used on you.

She did get out of the car, and she was. The police officer at that moment had no right to put his hand on her and pull her out like that unless they were sure she was going to fight back. Which, she didn`t. She was getting out of the car and it was probably taking her awhile to step out because she was fat.

A man died recently from the use of a taser in Canada. It is unknown if he spoke any English or if he understood any instructions. Just because someone is being disobedient shouldn`t mean that they have the right to take another`s life. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2007/10/14/bc-taser.html

"It`s our culture to be a bunch of heartless non-nice individuals."

Yes, we should never subdue anyone who defies what an officer of the law tells them to do. She was belligerent with the officers and even grabbed on to the door when they tried to pull her away from the car. If you do not obey an officer of the law when they tell you to do something, then they have every right to subdue you. If you resist, they have the right to use force.

She was being the non-nice individual. Get out of the car means get out of the car, not scream at the officer and hold on to it.

If the idea of an officer subduing a potentially dangerous person who will not follow the officer`s instructions offends you, then move to a country where the cops sit around with thumbs up their asses, because that is all a cop could possibly do without some liberal f*ck whining about it.

"Since when does not complying = excessive force necessary?"

Use of a tazer is not "excessive force". It is a non-violent method of subduing someone. She did not comply to the officers, who repeatedly told her to step away from the vehicle. They attempted to move her away physically, but she held on.

Tazers do an excellent job of loosening one`s grip. They shocked her only one time. They then handcuffed her at that point to neutralize threat.

There was no second shock. There was no "police brutality". Taze, handcuff, end of story.

"HE USED A TAZER OH NO I`M GOING TO CRY IN A CORNER FOR THE NEXT HOUR" is not "excessive force".

I`m actually in favor of pepper spray or even physical force over tasers. Reasoning - she may have had heart problems, a pacemaker, or some kind of implant on her body (maybe for hearing), or may have been pregnant.

Pumping a high voltage through a person could cause death or miscarriage (involuntary muscle tension). At least physical force and pepper spray are location specific.

As beligirent as she was, the cops could`ve indulged her and took their hands off her while she was complying with their commands to discharge the situation a bit.

lol she ate pavement hard. getting tazed doesn`t hurt that much for her to be balling tears.."

I`d imagine it hurts pretty bad.. Getting shot with prongs and then getting lit up with electricity.

In truth, I visit I-am-bored.com not only for the entertaining links, but also for the sweeping generalizations about the u.s. made by our european posters. :) (it`s really a a requirement in every link`s comments area)

Do you know WHY people die when tasered?

    Here is an example why:
    "
Glowzenski died after a confrontation in which an officer stunned him nine times with a TASER, and he wasn`t on drugs or alcohol, Andrews notes. "He committed no crime; he didn`t do anything wrong," Griffin says. "

WHEN PEOPLE USE IT NINE TIMES ON SOMEONE. Not once you drating retards.

I guess she was too much for the big tough guy cops to deal with huh?

Is this bs to anyone other than me?

She didnt get violent and didnt put a hand on the guy, not only that the guy said he was going to taze her the second he got in the car?
Im sure there is more to the story but geez what douchebag pussy cops.

I guess it takes at least three cops to handle a woman without shocking her.

Here`s how I feel. I`m going to obey the law, but I will not tolerate police brutality. If I can`t do something then, I will use legal means in order to attain justice. But, if I saw the police doing something exceedingly cruel to someone else, I`d rush the bastards and it`s people like those who say these woman got what she deserved...well, they`re the ones who would just watch as the police would damn near kill me and the victim. They don`t play that sh*t south of the border. Police are not the bosses of people, they are there to keep the PEACE. We, as law-abiding citizens, are the ones who have the authority over our police force and we shouldn`t let brainwashing keep us from revolting against what we KNOW to be wrong.

I love to see videos like this where people are being obstinate and belligerent and then scream and cry when the police take control of the situation and make them do what they were asked to do.

I BELIEVE POLICE SHOULD CARRY WICKED-LOOKING MACHETES. I REALLY DOUBT ANYBODY WOULD RESIST. FEAR OF GETTING CUT MAKES PEOPLE CRAP THEIR PANTS. SOME PSYCHOLOGY SH`T.

Actually, we treat people like that because of people like these posters saying she deserved it. It`s our culture to be a bunch of heartless non-nice individuals.

that bitch got zapped. I found it quite funny. She deserved it, she was drunk and was belligerent. Would you want her driving down the highway drunk? Thats why the cops got her ass outtat the car.

"This is yet another case of egregious use of the taser. "

How do you test a baton? theres only one way...heres your sign!
