"I would probably act like the responsible person and use a blunt object, it causes a lot less headache"

Not for them! *musical sting*

Yeah I agree, guns don`t kill people, but they make it far too easy for people to kill each other. It takes determination to get up close and kill someone in unarmed combat or with a knife etc, none at all to stand 20 feet away and blow their brains out.

I am still trying to figure out why the comment is anyone holding a gun feels powerful. Holding any weapon compared to someone who is unarmed will make any maladjusted individual feel powerful, it doesn`t matter if its a gun or a large rock. As for me, I own several firearms, does it make me powerful no, they are a hobby and enjoy using them responsibly. As for personal protection, if someone broke into my house I would probably act like the responsible person and use a blunt object, it causes a lot less headache in the long run.

Many Americans, I think the last survey I read approximated 83%, own at least one "gun" and many of "gun" owners are responsible citizens, never been convicted of a felony.
Stupid people exist every ware and these people are in the stupid category. Not only could of this lady injured more severely, they could not tell where the round would travel when discharged.
Also, remember America is a big country and we all don`t live in cities so, the police may not respond in time to save your families life from a potential threat.

More proof that guns don`t kill people. People kill people. To me this wasn`t really entertaining, just another display of poor judgment brought on by the ignorant fluid.
People need to realize that the Civil War is long over and the right to bear arms is nothing more than an excuse for an extension of "manhood."

Goalie, when the U.S. became its own country there was some debate over whether the official language should become English or German. We came closer to speaking German than Great Britain ever did. So sod off.

For everyone saying guns won the war, your wrong... it started it... world war one was triggered when archduke Ferdinand was shot... and world war 2 was allowed to happen because of the state Germany was in after the war...
All guns do is promote more violence.
Sorry. The people behind the guns. As this video clearly points out, guns are only safe in the hands of trained people. And still, these trained people think they have so much power with a little metal object in their hand... how pathetic.

guns don`t kill people. People kill people. I mean when was the last time where a gun broken in your house and killed you with out some person behind it?

The invention of the Gun is on that border of being the greatest thing, to being the worst thing made. Yeah we get self protection from them, and yeah we have gone to war over what we think is right. We also have abused gun as well. Mass murders, school shootings, assassinations, Self harm.

What we need is commucation

Imeagla, you`re welcome man, if I`m going to make posts calling out flaws in the approaches people use then I`ve got to read sometime, especially if I expect people to read mine.

Lol at least you admit the needless self depreciation.

Karagoth: actually it`s an economic standpoint. Everyone preserves their own self interest so they can continue to do so in the future. The only reason anyone joined the war was their own self interest. My pointing out of the war was a simple counter example to show how bad the original examples were and that it could be skewed to any such desire.
So if you get into a battle, if it`s your or them, who do you hope gets slaughtered? exactly, them. It only takes one party to escalate something to needless violence, then you can react with equal or greater violence in hopes to end it, or try a more tame approach and hope their violence doesn`t end your life.

EstiloPanama: Why self degrade simply to suck up to someone else, if you don`t like it, leave, it`s simple. Don`t complain unless you can or are going to act.
Really are most Americans born that way? Guess I am a minority and an exception, as opposed to you it seems.

As far as I know, no one claims to like Bush, or at least shouldn`t. So I agree with you on that. But say the president sucks not everyone here. You`re right you`re a dumb ass.

goaliejerry: Yes we helped defeat various armies that came against Europe, but they may have been able to do it, it would have just taken longer, it`s a bad argument.
lol and couldn`t you tell she was drunk if she acts like that normally I`d hate to see her intoxicated.

Imeagla: I agree people are what make things bad, they just use various tools to justify the ends.

No they don`t need all that money, but we agree to pay it to them, so they keep making it.

iseeisee: I wouldn`t be spouting off too soon if I were you. Everyone has an equal chance here, but unfortunately here people like to be whiny when they don`t get their way. Yeah I guess you guys don`t have any certain people, class, particular region that you look down upon.

Except for what you represented so well, being pompous and looking down on everyone. Oh and then there`s Chavs that`s mentioned on here so frequently. Then name a region, I`m sure you have something against it.

As for your example that can be associated with anything. Something you feel protects you, doesn`t fulfill it`s intended purpose 100% of the time. Guns, knives, medical drugs, cops, teachers, government, parents, your car....etc etc. Get over yourself and your examples, they`re horrible.

As for the old war rant, shall I just say The American Revolution, WWI, WWII. Try again.

EstiloPanama, I agree with you on the fact that America is anything but self-sufficient...We`re the opposite...this could probably be deduced from the previous posts but, I just wanted you to know that I`m not...`flaming` (That`s the term, right?) I`m giving an opinion...But, as far as that point goes, you and I agree 100%.

And, just for the record.

I want to make this clear: For once I`m not bringing anyone down or agreeing with anyone else. GoalieJerry is (In my eyes, of course) just as wrong as EstiloPanama, despite their arguments being polar opposites.

GoalieJerry is glorifying war and guns for war, while EstiloPanama is saying that guns are the catalyst which turned our nation wayward.

What I -am- saying is that blaming a tool which has no mind of it`s own for the state of the country is like blaming yonder Elm tree for you contracting herpes.

And, using a tool of destruction against a fellow man is even worse.

Anywho, in short (Which this has been aything but) if it wasn`t guns and bombs killing people, it would be swords and knives, and if it wasn`t swords and knives it`d be rocks and sticks...

So, yeah. Go...Us.

In short: Everyone is discriminated against because we`ve elected to give ourselves a higher power that dictates our lives and tells us what is good and what isn`t. This is our fault for allowing this.

We`ve forgetten our values and we`ve forgotten what we stand for. A free country. A country where we should be free to do as we please as long as it doesn`t disrupt our neighbors. But, no. We`ve got gangs in cities who do what they please, corrupt law-enforcement, corrupt politics, corrupt leaders.

No wonder we`re where we are.

But, it all boils down to you. To me. To the invidual, who instead of standing up and saying this is wrong, saying..This isn`t what I stand for. We sit. We complain. We say how it should be, observe how it could be.

We are the disease, we are the problem. And until we start forging our own little paths the corrupt officials will be blazing our trails for us...

And it needs people like you to stop b*tching about everything and anything..
The blacks complain because they`re discriminated against, the Mexicans complain they`re discriminated against, the women complain they`re discriminated against. Everyone`s got something to complain about, everyone`s got someone keeping them down.

We`re so concerned about us as individuals. Cosmically. We`re nothing. We`re a tiny fleck of debris which means exactly nothing.

And the sooner people accept that they`re nothing the sooner they can accept the fact that their neighbors are nothing and the sooner we can all take solace in the fact that we mean dick. We`re all the same.

Bush does suck, but to blame everything on him is pointless. Do you know why Bush sucks so hard? Because he`s a politician who thinks he means more than anyone else.

But, the next one is going to be just as bad. Maybe worse.

Worse? Yes, of course. This one may be smart, And able to get away with the crap he`ll do.

I`m sorry, but you`re all wrong...Regardless of what you may think of guns, they`re still inanimate objects. As are drugs, alcohol and most politicians..

You people are the reason the country is going to sh*t, not guns. (And by you people, yes, I mean myself, too.)

We`ve allowed the country to become the sesspool it is to-day, not guns..

As for European countries being ran by Germans or Russians if there were no guns...That makes no sense...Because, of course the invasion wouldn`t have happened or it would have happened with sticks and stones instead of explosions and flying lead.

The country is a piece of sh*t right now for several reasons, the biggest of which I believe is our economy.

Think of it this way.

Does any professional athelete need to make several million dollars a year?

How about an Actor/actress?
Doctor? Politician?

No, of course they don`t. America needs a salary cap, the rest of the proceeds being funneled into health-care and the likes.

jakob, do you even know what a magnum round is? It`s a slightly bigger round with more gunpowder behind it.

"Where did they get one of those???" You make it sound like it`s a tomahawk missile.

Amazing how Europeans get scared of guns once they`ve had them taken away. Wonder if it`s because having your guns taken away means every time you see one, it`s being pointed at you.

oalieJerry...your comment about flower-yielding authorities in other countries was strange...
And I believe Guns actually are the problem, only because they are almost too easily accessible.

And IseeIsee...trust me...America is NOT self-reliant. America right now is on Idiot Mode. Americans and Guns do not mix, only because most Americans are complete retards born out of the wombs of drug addicts and mothers, rich and poor, who failed to properly use some type of contraceptive while having sex on the lawn of their local church after hours.

But the whipped cream on this nasty jello dessert known as America is President Bush. America sucks right now.

What I appreciate about America are most of the young and old men and women serving in the Armed Forces, who work hard and risk their lives to keep all you wanna-be gun carrying citizens safe.

And by the way, most Americans on this thread who post regularly usually represent exactly what America is right now, a piece of sh*t.

Goaliejerry, good God, how misinformed are you? To call America `self-reliant` is ridiculous. `Equality` is part of your promise yet look at the stretch of INequality that exists between social classes. At least the majority of European countries are either equal, or provide an equal opportunity to better oneself. As for the whole `guns keep you safe` rant; try and give that argument to someone who lost a loved one in one of those high school shootings that disillusioned maniacs seem to be so fond of.

Hehe, I love gun threads because all the Europeans get nervous. Ohh, they have guns, they must all be criminals!
My country is so much better because our cops carry flowers and ask criminals to please desist from criminality!

"Stop! or I will shout Stop again!
That`s Scandinavian style."
That must be the scandinavian police motto.

The anti-gun attitude speaks to a fundemental difference between the self-reliant American and the government dependant European. Over here, we trust ourselves to care for ourselves. Over there, you hope someone else will keep you safe.

But seriously, other than the title of the thread, how do we know she was drunk? She may have been, or she could have been nervous. If she was drunk, that was real dumb, if she wasn`t, those guys were mean. I think it did hit her in the head...

For all your anti-american sentiment, just remember, without the US and our GUNS, you`d be speaking either GERMAN or RUSSIAN right now.

Imeagla, I agree with you completely. It is completely irresponsible for any that is intoxicated, on alchohol or any other drug to even handle firearms let alone shoot them.
As for her getting wacked in the head, I once saw my friend who is experienced with firearms almost get knocked out by a .500 S&W which is most likely what that pistol is. Those damn things pack a hell of a kick.

Why say that, VikingGuy? A .50 caliber handgun is possible, and used.

I mean...Haven`t you ever heard of a Desert Eagle?
Granted, this wasn`t one, being a revolver.

But, this is a perfect example of guns not being a problem. People are the problem.

Any red-neck idiot that thinks fire-arms and alcohol mix in any situation...(besides a bartender keeping a sawed-off beneath a bar) is not acceptable.

I was taught from a young age to simply respect firearms. Taught that even a gun you -know-, absolutely positively sure is unloaded...is still loaded.

And haven`t shot anyone accidently to date.
Or, purposely for that matter.

i´d say its more likely a .44 than a .500,.500 looks like a flamethrower if you use one in a even slightly darkened area, plus if it woulda been .500 and she woulda used it like that she woulda been on the ground with a broken wrist.
