Speciesist crap.

The Animal Testing INDUSTRY is a money hording, obsolete cruel thing.

Without even going into the ethics of animal exploitation, the tests them selves have ALWAYS been "inconclusive", irrelevant, and all and all illogical.

We are not rats, beagels, pigs, chickens, rabits, hamsters, bats et cetra. We are homo sapiens. No test performed on any other species would be accurate or logical. Puting bleach in rabits eyes is different than putting bleach in human eyes, because our eyes are different. Shoking a monkey 1000 times a day to see if it will get depressed is just retarded.

Its an industry. They manufactor animals pre-shaved and all to say HLS or some other Death Camp, so scientist can produce inconclusive tests for buisinesses, and pull in more cash. This cash then is used to buy more pre-shaved lab rats. The Economy of Cruelty.

what they should do is now make the organs see through and make a partialy invisible (or translucent) frog!

then it would be a real story!

*cough* human genome project *cough*

I would have so much fun with that :-D. I would feed red food coloring, maybe have it swallow some small glow-in-the-dark object, the possibilities are endless :-D.

and of course it was the Japanese. If they`re gonna be playing around with animal genetics why don`t they make something actually cool? and I`m not talking more glow in the dark fish :P

Don`t they mean TRANSLUCENT TOADS? There are plenty of sea frogs that are much more transparent that than that - without the typical "endangered" tag.

thats taking it too far man ^

humans are smart enough to meddle with other species as they wish.

I find it humorous how humans refer to testing being conducted on *other* animals as `animal` testing, as if we are somehow special in the grand scheme of things. We *ourselves* are most assuredly animals and the sooner everyone realizes that, the better off we`ll be.

It`s not that difficult to imagine how or why the ancient religionists interpreted themselves (humans) to be God`s finest creation, one alone made in His image.

Animal testing can be cruel and I`m glad I don`t know everything they are doing to animals right now.
BUT
If it weren`t for animal testing, we would all die 25 years younger.

"Also, animal rights activists are not simply against dissecting animals, they are against testing on animals all together. Its horrific and useless and cruel and a waste of money and energy and scientists."
ok, sure it may be cruel and horrific. but a waste of money and energy? you fail.

hey,

first of all.. natalie, have you ever been seriously sick and needed medication ( I don`t mean catch a cold or something that goes away by itself)
Thats what animal tests are for.. What I hate is animal tests for make-up and stuff.. They should test their stuff on their own faces first..

And for that frog.. um.. stuff like that doesn`t need to be bred.. it comes from nature! Look at the south american cave fishes.. they never saw light for thousands of years so they lost all their pigments and their eyes almost disappeared.. now thats nature at it`s best!

whatever, stop bitching around
