120 mile range on all Electric wouldn`t even get me to the next town!!! might be of use if you live and work in the inner city and don`t go driving anywhere else but otherwise pretty pointless for Australia.

What does it matter how it looks? Are you so vain that your car has to look a certain way? It`s an object that gets you from point A to point B.

As much as I love the cars from the 60s and 70s, and the Delorean (of course), we`ve gotta change what we`re doing with the environment. I mean, the human race is probably eventually destroy itself through war, but we should try to be optimistic in an eco-friendly way.

Also, I looked up the safety on the car they propose; It uses a "formula one" style safety cocoon. It`s supposed to be pretty damned safe. Look it up on their website.

Good God... NO!

It`s ugly and the inside is too small for my liking.

Cool idea, but absolutely not.

That is really, really cool - and cheaper than most new hybrids already on the market!

it says it is electronically limited to 95mph, wonder how fast it goes without it. the 55mph was only for the 230 mpg thing.

That thing is fugly. I got an idea. Why don`t we make better cars without the CRAPPY NEW MODELING SUCH AS THIS... CRAP. thank you. You only have the right to do it if it floats.

There will be a Wii hack before it goes main stream

I`d be embarrassed simply owning one.

Btw, it`s not a real vehicle yet. True, it`s not a concept as it`s supposedly in production, but please note how they mention that you must reserve one. Which means it`s not even out on the market yet, it`s probably not even hit the assembly line.

This is also a real car. I saw it at a car show once. It was cool

THAT`S THE CRAPPIEST CAR EVER...I`D ONLY USE IT IF I EVER NEED A WHEELCHAIR...AND EVEN THEN I`D TAKE THE TANK TRACKS WHEELCHAIR OVER THAT THING.

I`m pretty sure three wheeled cars like this are actually incredibly stable, its fairly low to the ground and the pontoons on the side stick out to gain balance. its the three wheeled cars where there is one wheel in the front and two in the back you have two watch out for, like the old "robin". But yeah, this thing`d get totalled if it get sideswiped.

At 230 mpg I could care less how horrendously ugly it is... Or for the fact that it doesn`t look very stable.

I don`t think the looks are a big deal. Christ, I am only eighteen and still don`t make a lot of money, and if I had a car that saved me money like that on gas, I`d drive it if it were hot pink and played Gwen Steffani everytime the door opened. Besides, eventually, everyone not rich will have to slowly convert over to these cars because of fuel costs, then the rich people will convert because it`s bad publicity to hurt the enviroment when you don`t have to.

"BTW, plugging in doesn`t make it eco-friendly. The energy from your socket is more than likely produced by fossil fuels anyway."
But gasoline engines are horribly inefficient (the ideal case that we could possibly design would only get 30% efficiency), whereas fossil fuel power plants start at around that level and get more and more efficient.

=[ i thought it would fly by the look of it but then it said it has three wheels.

I wouldn`t mind owning this if it passed safety standards, but I think anyone who is unlucky enough to get hit by an SUV while driving this thing will die.

BTW, plugging in doesn`t make it eco-friendly. The energy from your socket is more than likely produced by fossil fuels anyway.

I wouldn`t mind having one. I`m not ashamed about driving whatever vehicle gets me from point A to point B. That it does so at 280 mpg is the real kicker.

Still, I say some established vehicle manufacturer should resurrect the design of the DeLorean with the addition of eco-friendly modifications, of course.

"wait........i just noticed its shaped like a giant sperm" and now all we need is a car shapped like a vagina and then when they crash they`re gonna have little toasters or something everywhere

What is happening to the grand history of American automotive beauty. There`s no damn reason hybrids, imports, or any other type of car needs to look like this.

The 60`s and 70`s had some of the most beautiful looking cars in history. And we`re throwing it away...

Im looking forward to hybrids so I dont need to pay 60 bucks for gas. But do they have to make the vehicles look so god damned Dr. Seuss retarded? How about they make it look like a normal freaking car. One that looks like all the other cars and I wouldnt be embarrassed to drive. Just becaues it`s a hybrid doesnt mean it has to look different

Or a midget... I can see the ad now...

A happy couple, ont heir honeymoon, with about a dozen suticases in the back, drives this car past a lonely, sad midget, crying by the roadside while sticking his thumb out...

They pick him up, he sits in the back, and they have a midget-y threesome that night :-D

"Seats 2.5 people with plenty of room for luggage."

What?

.5 people?

*sigh* I guess its perfect for the all-American family with 2.5 kids... as long as one is over 16, that is.
