Ok hate to say this but I have been to where those were set off, It is in Ft Knox KY. It is a demo range. Anyway those are cratering charges, made to destroy runways, concrete highways and the like. They are 45 lbs of c-4 in a shaped charge. they were not IED`s, when we set those off we try and do it one at a time, blast one, move to the next blast that one depending how far apart they are.

I think they used extra explosives to eplode the unexploded explosives. Hence the exploding explosion.

The IED`s going off in this video are IED`s that an Armed force probably found and was looking to set off in a safe area all at once... those weren`t placed there by terrorists.

Awesome Video.
Explosions FTW

HAHA! yeah right....you cant hack flash games with IE....and there are a lot other things Firefox is capable of....just the fact that firefox lets people make "homebrew" addons proves Firefox kicks the poo out of IE...hands down

Was this training at a military base? It sure didn`t look like Iraq.

Anyway, nice explosions. If you saw it in person, you`d probably have to be much further back.

will_lee, great comment

Also, Ryan, calling it "DBZ" is gay in itself, but not as nerdy as the original comment...

You know that is probably the most realistic interpretation of a ki blast from Dragonball Z we`re ever likely to see."

Jesus christ.. That is probably the nerdiest thing I have ever read in my entire life.

People who are older than 13 still watch DBZ? It`s still on TV?

The explosions are big for several reasons, one ieds aren`t just a "couple of pounds of C-4" they are usually items like artillery shells which can contain over 50lbs of explosives. http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm... shows how powerful they really are, that explosion probably lifted over 1 ton of earth and blacktop. Also to destroy them they use a large charge of explosives to set off the explosives of the IED. So you are seeing the cummulative effect either way they are nasty items that cause a whole hell of a lot of damage.

The nubbery in these responses hurts my brain.

Thisidrocks: Those explosions are not actually all that big, we were dropping poo like that en masse half a century ago.

Dragosal: Please stop failing at life. Preference has nothing to do with whether a piece of software is good or bad and IE has most certainly been a giant piece of fail for most of its life ("LOLS let`s make it download things if the website dun tell it to billy bob").

If you`re going to get into the browser debate I`d hope you`d l2computer or at the very least l2scriptkiddie.

IED stands for Internet Explorer Databases, and that`s what happens to your laptop if you keep using IE.

Go Firefox.
