1) Anyone who read this and even had a thought that it was real is retarded.
2) As easy as it is to sit back and say "University of Spoiled Children", look at the facts. #27 school nationally. Top tier engineering (#7), film (#1) and communications (#5) programs. This year`s freshman class has 209 National Merit Scholars out of 2,500 nationally.
3) While a lot of the fraternity/sorority students fit this stereotype of a USC student, they make up only 20% of the student population.
4) We have a damn good football team (though they haven`t been playing like it), get over it.
5) Even though I`m a USC student myself, I still thought it was pretty funny.

I am from Southern California also, and got accepted to USC (it was my backup school). If you have enough money, you can buy your way into that school, and the people fit that application.

I get the joke but being Australian I can`t fully appreciate it. The fact that popularity from playing football and the near non-existence of cheerleaders combined with a slight lack of incredibly rich people is the cause of this.

AKappy stop trying to defend USC this is true especially for women. Football players, cheerleaders, and similar archtypes get a fastpass to USC and this includes kids of the wealthy.

I went to a really good high school its in the top 200 in the US and basically the top half if not quarter could get into USC if financial aid were given and/or their parents were rich.

Part of the reason this is funny is that its an exaggeration yet its humor lies with the truth it pokes fun at.

Trust me, its an extremely difficult school to get into. Only the top 1 or 2% of my class were even considered, and that was like a 4.7 GPA and higher. Of course, I guess it depends on what you intend to study there.

Same joke, [insert team name here].

Come on guys, let`s see a little originality and not just the same ole provincial humor.

USC ain`t goin` nowhere this season...

I think they overpaid their players again.

I don`t think the point was that it was not tough to get into...more along the lines that people who actually have the means to go to big-time universities (not just USC) get by on their parents` dime and usually aren`t the brightest crayon. I`m not saying you don`t have to have a little intelligence, but I`ve seen some really airhead kids from my graduating class get accepted to some well accredited state universities.

I`m from Southern California and have a lot of friends who go to USC... it`s an extremely tough academic school. It isn`t full of spoiled morons, as that application would suggest. I mean... THAT WAS HILARIOUS... ?
