My version -- "Delilah I can promise you, that by the time that we get through, you`ll get gunshot wounds at the back of your head.... And I`m to blame..."

You`re all so wrong, the original is NOT about a guy and his girlfriend, the guy liked a girl but she didn`t like him but he wrote a song for her anyways. Check it on Wikipedia. But the original song is amazing, I love it. And if you played it for any chick, you`d get layed, definitely.

Anyone who thinks "Delilah" is a love song is seriously misinformed. I really thought this was funny because all summer the radio stations played this and my friends would sit in the car and sing along to it, as if it wasn`t Sting and the Police`s "Every step you take..." kind of stalker-ish. Yeah, and right now I`m sure there`s some tool out there going "but that`s about a rapper who was shot."

"do you have anything in here to eat? id like a treat."
his face there creeped the hell out of me.

the funny part is my best friend and i labeled this "our song", because she travels alot and im pretty stationary. She`s gonna get a kick out of this.

"
Who the hell thinks the original is creepy? I fail to see anything creepy whatsoever in the original. Its actually quite soft and soothing."

the original is creepy as stated by silveruo. he`s basically stalking a girl named delilah (in real life) trying to get her to like him.

I like the original, it doesn`t have anything to do with stalking it`s just about a dude who`s girlfriend is gone and he`s telling her he loves her and he misses her and he`s always there for her. THIS though, was absolutely hilarious!!!!! I LOVED IT!

"Oh, it`s what you do to me, oh it`s what I`ll do to you" LMFAO!!!!!

Female 75
No, seriously. The original song IS creepy. It WAS written about a girl who didn`t even like him, and in fact, probably didn`t even know he was alive. Which is what makes the original song creepy. The lyrics make it seem otherwise, but that`s the truth.

So quit trying to argue and back up the song`s "sweetness" value. It has the lyrics to be a very cute romantic song, but the story behind it is NOT.

Like, during the first line, he was all looking off into the distance. I imagined butterflies.
And then he STARED.

Girls(in general) tend to love the original, which is why I learned to play it on guitar. Plus, it`s actually pretty easy to play, and not too hard to sing.

unless you have a horrible voice...like this guy.

No it doesn`t, the entire song is about him and a girl that are in love, but are a long way away from eachother.

that almost makes all the times i had to listen to that song worth wile. its funny that some people say they loved the original and some people say this guy cant sing or is hard to listen to. he sounds just like all the white male singer song writer types.

the original song sounds like the guy wrote a letter and was reading it over and thought "this would make a good song"
