Hi, that was his point.

Watch the whole lecture, he`s more than just Alice.

Despite the fact that I`m not suffering from any life threatening illness, I shall attempt, to live life at its fullest. If only to this capable, clever guy, look down upon me from whereever it is you go when you die, and go: "He`s got it, good show".
I love people :)

@StapleMeElmo

Because anyone and their grandma can make something in 3D Studio Max.

Alice isn`t about making stuff in 3D, its about learning to code the items to do something, rather than relying on tweening, like you apparently do.

Eh, who needs alice when you`ve got 3ds max, it`s the real deal and you can actually say you did it on your own.

He designed Alice? I`ve used it before, in programming classes...it`s pretty nifty and fun.

And not to take anything away from him, but anyone can do what he`s done. All it takes is looking at things from a positive perspective, no matter what and never taking life more seriously than you need to. It might be hard at first, but it`ll come in time.

I didn`t cry, But That was An Awesome Speech. That guy Is Really good with words. Too bad the poor guy is dying of cancer. Man Thats horrible. But at least he kept his spirit up and didn`t lay at home all day feeling sorry for himself. Instead he went out and told other people how to live a better life, THAT IS one of the greatest Things I`ve seen in a while. 4 out of 4

I like what he said about letting the kids write on the walls of their rooms. We`ve always let our kids do that too. They use kids paint. Heck in the event that you`re going to sell your home, it`s nothing a coat or 2 of paint can`t remedy. If you don`t sell, it`s nice memories.

Somewhere during my treatment, somebody asked me if having cancer had made me believe less, or more, in God. I replied that I didn`t know, but it sure had made me believe more in people.

Thats how it is...It isnt about living 4 "HIM" its living life 2 live life. 4 u and the people u care about. surely he has done that. 2 young 2 go but i dont see NEthing sad about that idea.......This Man is a true inspiration

good that he is still so optimistic, but i dare say that the last sentence is exceptionately bullpoo. you don`t get anything just by doing other things that are so called "good for karma". you actually have to go through some trouble to get what you want. he does have my respect if he lived every day in his life by the view he expressed in this last lecture.

nphektor, not everyone is a theist or has to mention a god. In any case, belief in a god isn`t the only thing that gives life meaning -- it`s selfish of you to think that your point of view is the right one.

I cried. My brother is dying of pancreatic cancer too. They say it`s six months from diagnosis. He is 43 .. Too young to let go .. too ill to want him to stay suffering. This lecture was inspiring as in the way my brother inspired me.. He shows only strength of character on even his weakest days.. For that he deserves our full respect!

I don`t agree with all that entirely. I don`t think that you can always see the good in people if you wait long enough. I think there are many people who just don`t have enough `good` to justify all that is `bad` about them.
I love the concept of `the wall`, though. That actually inspired me :-).

"I believe you don`t die until your life is complete, this guy just finished his purpose earlier than others."

so, that means homeless poor people in city areas live years poor and hungry untill they die from starvation for a purpose?

That was very humbling. The thing that upset me the most is knowing that we are losing a nice, intelligent and respectful person while thousands of a$$holes are being born at the same time. It`s sad that someone has to be dying to notice how great they are.

flippant, but not everyone believes in Karma, either, nphektors opinion of what the man should have spoken about, is his opinion.

Awesome guy. I believe you don`t die until your life is complete, this guy just finished his purpose earlier than others.

nphektor, did you ever consider the possibility that not everyone in this world is Christian?

Even if this man does believe in God, he`s trying to reach as many people as possible with his words, not just the ones who believe the same thing he does. It is possible to talk about religious tennants (morality) without giving a sermon.

I realize that most religions exclude other belief systems by nature, but since no one knows the truth, presuming yours is the only possible truth is simply arrogant.

saw this a couple days after the speech was made, it`s one of the better `life` lectures I`ve ever seen. I love the concept of the series of `the last lecture` too.

And if you thought the clip was sad watch the entire lecture through to the end. after his speech ends (and he ends it beautifully) try making it through the accolades without tearing up. It`s like the guy (in a way) had to sit through his own funeral.

Ok, this is definitely sad news but I wish I could agree with some of what he`s saying. He was talking about living your life the right way and I never got the impression that he did that, imo.

Not once did he ever talk about God and living your life for Him. That is the sad thing about this although I applaud him for alot of what he said. There is nothing more important than living for Him.

Seems as though he is still alive. He was given three to four months of health before he begins to decline, then there is no telling how fast he will go down hill from there.

Still a chance to email the guy to show support.

Check out his website to keep up to date on this amazing guy.
