Those are moths, no doubt about it. Also, I`ve read about spiders that lay their eggs in/on other insects/arachnids, and when they hatch, they liquify the host`s insides with an enzyme, and drink em like a milkshake. Very War of the Worlds.

Kinda like those Guinea worms in Africa that burrow into your feet and lay eggs. Or chiggers, which burrow into your skin and live there a few months.

Yeh this isnt real. Those are moths, he squeezed them a lil too hard till they bled. And why the drat would you be touching something that can attack and lay eggs on and inside you?
that guy in the end of the video didnt get eggs laid in him... why would it be in a straight line?
most moths have to go through metamorphisis by wrapping themselves up in silk. The chemicals they eat when they are pupae is used in this process. (silk moths) how the drat does it need a goddam leg?
Does that town have a high death rate in birds as well with all those moths on the walls there out in the open?

1.) It is not a butterfly, but a White Satin Moth
Leucoma salicis

2.)The cocoons are made of loosely woven silk and the black hairy pupa is visible inside. Cocoons are found attached to a wide variety of objects in the infested area from tree trunks to fence posts and the sides of buildings. So, not human flesh.

Picture of adult Satin Moth here.

Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Bart raises what he thinks are bird eggs but turn out to be an invasive species of lizard that kill all the birds in Springfield. And principle Skinner says something like " We`ll just get a bunch of snakes that eat the lizards" Lisa asks "Then what about the snakes"? "We`ll just get this type of Gorilla that eats snakes" "Then what about the Gorillas"? "Well, that`s the best part. When winter comes they`ll just freeze to death". LMAO!

madcherry "There`s an even more dangerous one called the Gullible Butterfly that can kill a man from 10 feet away!"

I like how big the "eggs" supposedly were. They were huge for the size of the bug, which looked more like a moth.

*Notpluggedin* - you`re right here, it would be an unsuitable environment for a pupa but that`s not saying it`s impossible... Like *107249* said, there are flies which lay their eggs inside living hosts (i.e. the botfly - family - Oestroidea)... however these leave the host when pupation takes place by burrowing out of the skin...

As for the venom - talking out his arse :) and venom is the wrong term anyway... Secretion is more appropriate

Why is this fake? EASY if you use some common sense.

When putting an insect in a group they have to have certain critera.

For example, a butterfly, or a moth, tends to turn from a larve into a butterfly/moth from a cocoon. This can`t be done in a leg! It would be to warm, to damp and it is just wrong on so many levels! I mean the insect wouldn`t have the strength to break the skin! And so forth, i would go on but i am ranting.

This man is just fat! Dear me.

I don`t know about the venom side of this story though.

(please excuse spelling mistakes, i wrote this in a rush)

I thought they were going to pop the thing when they squeezed it.

Definately a moth though. It still made me shudder seeing so many. I think its a phobia of mine; lots of insects in one huge group. Made me shudder.

Definitely fake, there are no known poisonous butterflies in the world. That is unless you eat some of em. The monarch is mildly poisonous because it eats milkweed. But none lay their eggs in human skin or emit a poison through their body. Just google it....Christ people.

"beternal, nobody said these things feed on people. They just lay their eggs in people. Which is still tough to believe, but not impossible."
Certain flies lay eggs in people, so why can`t butterflies?

Sometimes these butterflies attacks the humans....

oh dear, grammar not a strong point evidently. Anyway with a leg like that id be more concerned about the massive oedema that he has than the odd insect bite!

beternal, nobody said these things feed on people. They just lay their eggs in people. Which is still tough to believe, but not impossible. Also, that`s an odd place for any insect to keep its venom.

Besides, butterflies already kill people just by flapping their wings and starting hurricanes on the other side of the world.
