Imagine every thing that the brain CAN do, fit in one brain, one person that can do everything - Now that`s intelligence. We are incredibly stupid compared to what we should be able to do/know!

Alonzo is pretty cool, but that nurse chick kind of creeps me out. Seems like Alonzo likes her, though. >.<

It really is weird that his people sculptures aren`t as good. I think I heard somewhere that human facial recognition and that stuff is in a different part of the brain.

We can all do all sorts of crazy things... we just don`t train ourselves to do it. Humans have the ability to read something like 900 lines of text a minute, we just don`t because we don`t know how to train ourselves to do that. Although it is slightly comforting to know that we haven`t reached the end of our genius and that the future won`t be like the present.

Savants are absolutely fascinating. I really wish there was more information about them out there. The brain is truly astounding. I would love to study savantism, autism, synaesthesia, etc.

I wonder how much money he makes off of selling those :O.

Really, imaging a interface link between a human head and a computer, allowance for a `mold` as it exists in his head to be instantly transfered into the computer as a new image, fully polyed and perhaps even fully textured.

What he can do is amazing, but tinged with sadness at the same time. His brain can only function in one way, but very well. He can`t function in normal society, but he can do one thing over and over, very, very, well.

when she talks about the putty he is smiling to himself in the background ;)

its so odd that an injury can trigger this type of reaction in a person...robbing them of their social skills, but compelling them to create beautiful works of art or perform phenomenal computations.

"We are incredibly stupid compared to what we should be able to do/know!"
thats not necessarily true. yes, this man has extraordinary artistic ability, but he cant read, write, or calculate. his right brain hemisphere was only compensating because his left was damaged. who knows how great a mathematician he could have been, or how "normal" he might have been.
