If someone is aiming to kill you with a gun, I highly doubt they will aim for your backpack.

This is bullsh*t. The books they give us are thick enough to stop a 30-06.

Okay, your pistols and single shot rifles and shot guns are gonna protect you from the government with some of the most advanced killing technology in the world. Not. If the man wants to do something he does it, whether it`s in the US or in Europe.

These backpacks are bullpoo, it`ll be more likely to protect your god damn notebook than your vital organs, since most shootings happen from the front, and most backpacks are worn on the back. It`s just another fearmonger trying to make an easy buck.

hello people, there are no more gun crimes than there were 30 years ago, its just that the media covers EVERYTHING, unlike back in the day. also, guns help us protect ourselves from the government ;). honestly, i think you europeans should watch out, i smell Eurabia!!!

first off: text books=thick enough to shop bullets and intrest in reading.
Secondly: what if it isn`t a shooting next time? what if a giant elephant lands on you? your nifty little backpack won`t save you then!

It a clever play on the paranoia and parents love of their child. Anyway a lvl III kevlar vest with rifle plates is relativly inexspensive ($890) and much more comfortable once you get used to it. Worn one of em for awhile now just because but then again most people who need them have a long gun but have the common sense to check it until they leave school grounds

it would be safer if we gave everyone guns so they can kill the kid with the with their gun :).

You make a good point about the books being enough to stop a bullet. But I have a hunch that the kids whose parents buy these backpacks are not carrying any books in it. Maybe WWF magazines and 700 club pamphlets but not textbooks.

"typically usa....heal the symptom but not the cause...well...your problem...see how far it gets you"
how do you suppose we heal the cause? outlaw guns? tell the criminals to stop being so naughty? ok, find a good way to heal the drating cause and it might be done.

You know, every retard that drives a Humvee to drop off their one kid at school is going to buy them one of these back packs too, and that kid`s going to get jumped, and mugged by a kid with a knife and have his $175.00 Back pack sold on Ebay.

If people want to live without Fear in the World, they need to SHUT OFF the NEWS!!!
LOL^^ and i think that if someone really wanted to kill you, and was that serious that they had a gun, a backpack wouldnt protect you much. specially such as many schoolkids dont carry theirs around with them.
I can only speak for my high school, but that is not true. With the amount of time we have to get in between classes almost everyone carries there backpack around with them.

atomic muffin~ i dont think its about the 3rd graders shooting people, more like how crazy older kids would just run around shooting at random. also gotta take the gang bangers into consideration that go around doing random hits.

as for getting one of these backpacks, eh shooting someone wouldnt be fun if you didnt aim for their head.

This day in age lost in korea? You realise crime rate has been DROPPING, it`s just the way the media portrays it that it seems like it`s SOO likely.

We haven`t kept our backpacks with us in class since elementary school, and I don`t think a 3rd grader has very good aim, or knows how to load a new clip.

The media trys to scare people into thinking that a school shooting will happen to you. but the odds are, it`s NOT. I mean think about it, theres only been 2 shootings, what the hell are the odds that you or your child are going to be in one?

Pointless. What are you going to do when a person with gun comes up to you say "oh please only shoot at my backpack?." Also when I was in school I almost always left my backpack in my locker and so did everyone else I knew.

beternal.. here`s the thing. the only people who bring guns to school are teenagers. have you seen those books they have to read?

they are literally inches thick. enough to stop a bullet.

these uys are just trying to make a buck by exploiting parents` paranoia

jagger04 - yeah, i agree... but these school shootings appeared to be just mass murder sessions... i.e. a guy with a gun would open fire on even kids trying to run away - hence a backpack would be a great shield. Bodies are far easier to hit than heads.

One problem I foresee... it will limit mobility when running.

>>>Only in America<<<

no. its not real world.

because in the real world, if someone wanted to shoot you, i`m sure they wouldn`t aim for your backpack.

Unfortunately, in this day and age we need more than this. Metal detectors, bulletproof clothes...It`s not a matter of being paranoid, look at the news...And if you don`t fear these type of things then be glad! But this for the most part is the real world....
