"Germany has always been one country?"

I really hope she`s joking otherwise I`m scared at who set up this image of us, certainly not me.

-- "Google" has always been a verb. --
Oh, I hate this. It`s like saying "Let`s dialogue with each other", or "The news impacted the viewers". *shudders*

-- Mr. Rogers, not Walter Cronkite, has always been the most trusted man in America. --
Same thoughts here. My uncle once talked to Mr. Rogers at a beach.

Some of the others were... strange.

Wow, all of you who don`t get it are f*cking dumb as sh*t. It`s the mindset of kids who graduate in 2010, like Tjames and the f*cking title says, it`s the world THEY know.

Other than the stupidity reigning on these posts, the list was funny and sad that these kids don`t get to experiance a lot of that stuff.

Gosh darnit, why do they have to go and make things so confusing!? Am I the class of `08 or am I the class of `12!? Is it high or college!? But on a rather better note, the list should have add "If a company makes a product for four years, they can successfully stop selling it and reintroduce it in another 6 years for the next generation" Stupid Tomagatchis, Cabbage Patch Kids, and all that other crap that is being reintroduced...

    This is not condescending.

It`s saying that for people born in 1991/92 have never "known" a divided Germany, a Soviet Union, etc. because the things on the list have always been so since they were born.

For someone, say, 10 or more years older, who remember life differently, the list puts the events of the last 15-20 years more into perspective.

PeproniPizza, you shouldn`t ASSUME that you are going to live longer. You sound like my 8-11 year old neighbors who say "You may be older but you will die sooner" as if everyone lived for the same amount of time. The difference is 5-8 years, that`s not that long in the large scheme of things.

Speaking as someone in the Undergraduate class of 2009/2010 (5 semester program, and my graduation time depends on how many summer courses I take in the near future), that list was pretty understandable. It`s only a matter of how well you pay attention to history class and pop culture.

The only one that I didn`t get was #9, the one about the stained blue dress and the third rate burglary. I know the third rate burglary is a reference to Watergate (which almost led to Nixon`s impeachment), but the blue dress confuses me a bit. Does it have anything to do with Monica Lewinski (which led to Clinton`s attempted impeachment)?

The article is not saying people never studied history. It`s more that they have not experenced it. Sams goes for anything else on the list.

The overview allows says that it is in fact generalizing. Such as the licence plate game, its saying that most long travels are made by airplane.

This is for the graduating class of `10 in college!

I`m gonna try this one last time then just go cry myself to sleep because nobody in my generation seems to have reading comprehension beyond that of a retarded tortoise.

This document is not for anyone within the 13-17 age group. It is for people finishing their undergraduate work in college in 2010.

this is only one persons(maybe a small group of peopls) opinion of how people of that age see the world. its just old people way of saying how things were better win they were young. some of that might be true but i think generalizing a hole age group based on what the writer remembers is dumb. they wont have lived during the cold war but that doesnt mean they wont see major world events hat happen in ther life time. maybe right now they have only knows 2 us presidents but by the time they graduate we will have a new one. i feal like my grandfather came back from the dead and treated me to a "in my day" story.

Anyone who`s seen I love the 70`s, 80`s, and 90`s on VH1 already knows all this stuff. Not only is it funny as hell, but also informative.

I understand, like all of it. Does whoever made this think that we, the Class of 2010, are complete and abosolute idiots?

What I get from the link is, it is true you may not have been exposed to the experiences my generation has ( it was fun). You will be exposed to experiences I will not live long enough to see. The same will be true for your children and grandchildren. Enjoy life!

I`m the calss of 10 but not for university. Also, Number 36, never mailed anything with a stamp, is totally not true for a lot of people, I personally love getting a letter, it sure as hell beats getting an email.

And number 13, the one about faux fur, is terribly ugly, in my opinion anyway. Well I guess it is true for "high fashion" or whatever.

And I had no clue Sara Lee made underwear...
