The view is great, but that trail looks a little sketchy.

If I HAD to do it, I would put my body behind the chains, so that I couldn`t possibly fall off.

It seems like an awsome thing to do, but I`d be scared out of my mind. I mean my hands are getting all sweaty just thinking about it.

How the heck did they build that thing up there? And the so-called trail? Did Spiderman do it?

man this looks awesome, I`ve been to a few of the mountains but not this one. It looks sweet though. And for those saying "well if they let people do it then it`s probably safe" you just don`t know China. they don`t have things like lawsuits, so they don`t really have safety laws like us.

that doesn`t look scary... you have chains right? if you have climbing gear, you can hook yourself up to the chains with carbiners and such. No big deal, though you probably would need to be in shape to do it.

Oh and the way down was hard because my knees hurt. I couldn`t stop once I started my way down because if I stood in one place I would start shaking.

I was there, it`s one of many paths on Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) in China. It`s actually easier than it looks, but I just clinged to the sides if there was a tourist group coming along. Travelling in China is great because it`s so cheap and you get to do lots of stuff like this.

How the hell do you get down from there after you soak up the view?

I would do it, I think. It`s been said before, but, your body wouldn`t let you fall, I`ve been in situations like that before rock climbing and stuff, your body wont let you, it`s a really weird feeling.

Though, I couldn`t help think the entire time I`ve been reading these comments and watching that... How did they build the path..? Imagine being the first guy across?

They wouldn`t let people do it if it wasn`t safe in some way. You`re probably harnessed at one point or another, those pictures just don`t show it.

It`s Hua Shan, in China. One of China`s 5 major sacred mountains, a key part of the Tao religion. You can check out some more ridiculous photos here:- http://kamleung.com/triplog/0109xian/xia... (and http://kamleung.com/triplog/0109xian/xia... I particularly like the "holy smoke you must be kidding!" pic.

It wouldn`t really be possible to fall off that unless the equipment failed. Trust me, you wouldn`t let yourself fall, your body just wouldnt let it happen.

Unless it`s run by a guy with a mullet...

Well I`d first set up like a trampoline at the bottom, obviously.

It`s at Half Dome, Yosemite, California, USA. Went there last year, some of their trails are insane. They have granite steps going toward a waterfall and they get slippery and its aways down before you hit the river. Didn`t dare to try this trail though...

Eeeek. :-/ I`d probaly need a few minutes (or days) to work up the nerve, but I`d try that. Just make sure to visit the nearest toilet first; dangling from a chain would be a pretty bad time to need to pee.

But no, can`t be. The safety regulations in that country are far too rigorous to allow such a thing...

Actually, I`ve been on a trail kinda like this in Oregon, but we were only a few hundred feet up, and the trail was about a foot and a half wide.

Still scared the sh*t out of me, though.
