It`s ironic that China is putting their own `industrial revolution`, which will only add to the amount of pollution on Earth, in front of their own planet. Are they not bothered that their country would flood if the ice-caps melted?

If we keep it up that`s how the united states is going to look like.
And shouldn`t they even try to do anything about I mean really, do they want there children to grow up with lung disease?
There government should be doing something about this, that`s really horrible to have to live in such a place.

All the Paper mills in the U.S have regulations they have to follow to reduce pollution. China on the other hand has no regulations and are the number one competitor of the U.S. because of it.

Sound fair?

Funny how nobody noticed that the said town was right beside a huge mining operation, and most mines there are open pit. How can you even compare mining smog to city smog. Jeez people, compare in context.

It`s pretty unfortunate that they`re too poor to move somewhere with breathable air. It`s like they`re trapped somewhere that they`re going to die in just because they don`t have enough money.

How depressing. I felt so bad for all those people, especially the children. I`m surprised the guy covering it wasn`t wearing a gas mask.

"the u.s. produces 1/3 of the worlds pollution. we pollute to hell and back. so shut up"

Then where did all of it go? I mean, seriously, if we produced 1/3 of the pollution you`d think the entire country would look like that one city.
I challenge you to give us a source of this fact.

as al gore once said on futurama
"My fellow Earthicans, as I discuss in my book Earth in the Balance, and the much more popular Harry Potter and the Balance of Earth, we need to defend our planet against pollution, as well as dark wizards."

If your company was to keep everyone here...The pollution would be here..Nothing all that much would change..It is still going to have the nasty effect.

I wasn`t able to watch the whole thing..
short..attention..span..
But what I did see just shows that how we are living is ruining this planet.
If the us has the conditions that (I`m not sure the citys name.....) in China did..We would be many times further off!
thankfull, we have wind o3o
But even places with wind eventually will be like this seeing how much pollution goes around here. ><

I note that air pollution was caused by nearby factory. So I`m asking of all CEO to stop outsourcing our job to china. In the past year a quarter of the employee where I work were laid off because we have not enough orders. Most of our client are sending the jobs to China because they can have it made cheaper which leave us manufacturing shop brankrupt.

Tymberwulf. When you look at the amount of pollution per person in these countries, compared with the amount of pollution per person in America, it shows that America has more pollution. We did the same a century ago to develop, they`re just doing it later and we expect them to not do what we`ve already done to keep developing?"

well... the big difference is, wen we started developing, we had about 1/3 the amount of people they do. and they care even less, most the factory owners don`t care about pollution, even less then we did long ago. they have more people, more factories, and they pollute more...

That`s so sad! In Beijing, the pollution is so bad the athletes will have trouble breathing during the olympics, so they`re trying to minimize traffic for 4 hours a day.

@ tymberulf actually, those statistics still show americans causing more pollution than chinese.

except, China doens`t have 2 billion people. only 1 billion.

so Chinese are REALLY REALLY more pollutive than us.

Dude Guy you are misusing statistics to present your arguement. 300 million in USA, 2 Billion in China. Let me just throw some numbers out there. If China is creating 1 billion tons of pollution per year compared to the US producing say 250 million tons per year. Using your method it shows .5 tons per chinese person vs. .833 tons per American. Oh no!!! America is more polluting you say! BS, China has 4 times the pollution. (Note: Not sure the actual numbers, I will look them up now.)

Yay! Let`s pollute more! It can`t be hazardous to environment, Earth or people, because it`s not bad for economy!

Male 3,431
Globalization happened there. It`s a country with weak environmental laws so many countries around the world send their factories there to save money. The same factory in a place like Sweden or Germany or America would cost a lot more to operate because of better environmental regulations. If you are curious why China`s pollution is so bad, consider the computer you are using presently, how it was made, where it came from and where it will ultimately end up.

And this is why I laugh everytime I hear someone say that America is the reason the world is so polluted and that we need to do something before it is to late. America isn`t the problem. China, India, and all the other 3rd world countries that can`t afford to make factories run clean are the main producers of pollution.
