Like most Americans, Barrack Obama knows nothing at all about Canadian politics.

"Nope. No brainwashing; sorry. I dislike Liberals of my own free will."

I find that difficult to believe, but whatever.

"It seems that Libs outnumber conservatives 5 to 1 on this site; I feel infected by all of them."

"Infected?" That`s lovely; much better than "repugnant stench." In fact, language like that could be why liberals have a bit of a gripe against conservatives.

When I suggested the link, I described it saying, "He`s gonna get in touch with the President of Canada". The Moderators changed it on me.

LOL Davy, you`re my new favorite person.

Hey, and our current President right now doesn`t even know how to pour a beer (remember that one? huh? HUH?!) while calm and collected at a lunch table. And doesn`t he STILL say "nuc-uler"?

Obama didn`t mean to slip up, and he did. Lol I can`t believe this actually got posted as a serious post.

I`m taking this as a joke, meant to subtly point out the differences between this liberal candidate and our current president.

^^ "who cares about Canada in the first place. no one would notice them if they werent north of the U.S."

How did America end up being the most hated race on the planet? Maybe the "WE ROCK!" attitude, maybe dissing your next-door neighbours didn`t help.

Jesus_Wey, It`s a big world out there. Your Canadian cousins helped you out in 9-11. You need to learn some humility. Going to Iraq for 3 months should do it.

I hereby name you "Wanker".

Crap.

Why doesn`t America go after Kim Jong-il of North Korea? I mean, we know he has weapons of mass destruction- he`s even showing them off, testing nukes and waving his arms saying "look over here! We`ve got WMDs!"

I mean, I don`t see the difference between Iraq and North Korea. It`s not like Iraq has any major resources that North Korea lacks. Right? Right?

glassjawdave,

"No one gives a poo aboot Canada" [sic]

Why don`t you get wise and realise that it`s maybe a good idea to learn about the country next door?

Dickheads like you are the reason that the rest of the planet think America is full of wankers.

Rambo-time is over mate. Time to realise that you guys are just citizens in a wider world.

First of all, why should anyone in the US even care what the title of Canada`s leader is? No one gives a poo aboot Canada, get over it. Second, why do all Europeans and basically all non Americans assume that we all loooove Bush and the war in Iraq?

Iraq is not working, Davymid.
hopefully it`ll work out.
Although I think I`m being optimistic if it`ll happen within a few years.
Has it occurred to anyone else that maybe we`re being terrorized because Iraq wants us to go away?

Meh. So he slipped up by using a near-synonym. Big deal. Had he referred to "the King of Canada," I`d be worried.

Meanwhile it`s apparently perfectly okay for most of the south to call every soft-drink a "Coke."

Am I the only one who sees the irony here?

Obama mis-spoke a word while under pressure speaking pubicly and thinking on his feet (ever tried it? It`s difficult). He`s an educated, intelligent guy (like most high-profile politicians), I`m sure he knows quite well that Canada has a Prime Minister...

Anyway, compared to your current Chimp in Chief, Obama`s blunders seem pretty minor.

How`s that Iraq thing working out for you guys by the way?

@ fireblaze: Yes, unfourtunately that`s true. I made a comment not to long ago and ALL 120 COMMENTS ON THE VIDEO WERE IN RESPONSE TO ME! ALL FLAMES! ALL LIBERALS!

Also, why should we need to know about them? They don`t need to know about us, but they do. Guess why? We`re the top dogs.

HELL, some euros even know more about US than some of my friends do! Now it isn`t bad we need to know about them. We can learn about them, but don`t care to because it doesn`t affect our lives. A person in Europe is shot out a cannon into some dude`s house? Not gonna know about it.

Same happens in the US? Everyone knows about it.

Dakkar, that is true, our population is centered around the U.S. border, however because we`re so big, we have more fresh water than any other country in the world. We also have a fair amount of the world`s oil. And what are the two things America needs more the anything else? Oil and water. So, therefore, some of you shouldn`t be so quick to think Canada`s politics are pointless, cuz when you run out of water and oil, Canada will become the next big super power. And judging by the way your politics are going, that could be very soon.

"Dude that guy is such a drating moron, no wonder McCain is going to win. I mean obviously there is a President of Mexico like he just said, but come on "President of Canada". Speak slower you damn hippie."

You do realise McCain is doing horribly compared to many of the other presidential candidates, both Democrats and Republicans, right? His chances are slim to none.

This video just shows Obama did not exactly study Canadian politics, which is sad..I mean, he doesn`t need to know every in and out of their system, but knowing that they have a prime minister rather than a president IS helpful.

That said, why is this turning into an Anti-Canada/Anti-America thing? It`s drating pointless, and those bashing an entire country on one guy (or a small portion of people) are nothing more that immature idiots.

Whoa whoa whoa there Crowly, don`t go stereotyping all of America into West Virginia. 8-)

I bash Canada sometimes but all in good fun. How could I not like the place that acts as my reprieve from soberness until lawman lets me drink when I turn 21.

But you make fun of us, we make fun of you, and the world keeps spinning. We just need to keep it civil.

But I had to point out, just because you are bigger is no excuse, 90% of your population lives within 100 miles of the U.S. Border. :-P

Its easy to forget Canada is actually England Jr and not USA Jr.

Anyway, the politics of Canada at this point in history are about as important to the united states as the politics of micronesia... so getting the terminology wrong isnt a big deal.

Stands for North American Free Trade Agreement.
No tax on trading to Mexico and Canada. Basically.

NAFTA is North American Free Trade Agreement. I like how people get in his poo for slipping up and saying "President" in place of "Prime Minister" which leads people to think he doesn`t know about politics even thoug he is talking about a political program that needs to be reformed when most people here don`t even know what it stands for, not to mention what it does.

And people still want to vote for him because he`s "cool".

A charismatic bum like him can only get so far. This debate nonsense is getting out of control, but at least its revealing this moron`s true colors.

And diverging a bit, McCain is dead in the water. It`ll probably be between Giuliani and Fred Thompson when he enters.

Canada has a Prime Minister, who is the head of the leading party in the House of Commons (kinda like the Congress). Canada has a Parliamentary form of democracy, the US has a Presidential form. Other than the US, Presidential democracies have not worked well, but Parliamentary ones throughout the world have.
I don`t blame Barak for slipping up on this one, it`s hard to keep all the differences in mind all the time, especially one stage and under pressure.
But it`s true, we do spend a lot of time playing hockey and smoking the Sweet Green Weed. That`s one way of pursuing happiness...
