To all the people hating America:
I`m sooooooooo sorry for the majority of us being stupid. Some of the smart people are actually trying to change this, but we just won`t succeed. I personally wish I wasn`t American, but, alas, I am. Again, I`m sorry to the rest of the world.

Sincerely,

you`re right, Americans are idiots. After all, if some people in a country are stupid, than everyone from that country is stupid, right? There are some people in England that feel like to inhale chemicals that destroy there bodies, others like to look at pictures of naked people on the internet, and others who enjoy killing other people. Yeah, some Americans are stupid, so are some of the Enlish, who k

It was those wee ones in the north east that annoyed me, Rhode Island and Delaware and all that.
Still I don`t think 6 minutes is bad for someone with little bordering on no knowledge of American states.
So much easier with Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Technically the US itself didn`t invent the internet (Obviously a country can`t invent something) but I do agree that anything vaguely including America on i-a-b usually turns into insults. Settle down people. The US is pretty huge so it`s no surprise that it has the highest amount of internet users in the world.

sqdp, good point about Leno`s Jaywalking bit. On the surface, it looks like most people are idots. A friend of mine used to work on the Leno show, and she said they would ask like 20 people the same question. 19 would get it right, but they only show the one person that didn`t know the answer. It took two days of taping for the 5 minute bit that made it to air.

Some of us are not dolts, i.e., ME.

"Good luck to anyone who doesn`t live in the US...
And the game sucked"

It`s not about whether or not you live in the US and it`s not about knowing your geography, you can visually see where the pieces fit, American or not, like you would with a puzzle.

Cheesecar, considering that I don`t know where Zambia would fit in Africa yet I do know that Georgia and Tennessee are somewhere in the south in the US, I would say that it is arguably harder for someone living in North Korea to play this game (assuming said person isn`t a cartographer with great aim) than someone who resides here.

Geez.

You git. Don`t come on here and accost us as if there aren`t any stupid Europeans. If the game had been a map of England or Australia, I probably wouldn`t have played it, but I certainly wouldn`t have insulted the country it was based on.

The U.S. represents the largest contingent of internet users in the world. 5 times the number of users the U.K. has and more than the 2nd, 3rd and 4th highest usage countries combined (China, Japan, Germany). That coupled with the fact that oh yeah, the U.S. invented the internet should at least keep you from making ignorant statements in a public forum.

Lupine. Yes, the U.S. military and government created ARPA, which led to ARPANET, and then the British came on board with their own version of ARPANET and joined the U.S.`s version to technically form the first packet switching network (IPSS). It grew to Australia, Canada and Japan by the early 80`s.

Secondly, my point was that the number of US internet users in relation to its population is far greater than any other country. (5% of population, 22% of internet users) Not to brag about the U.S. or its dominance, but only to explain that finding a website with an American slant probably shouldn`t be a surprise, and isn`t to most Europeans. That is, unless they are looking for a chance to bash the U.S. in the first place.

People will turn anything into a pissing contest. Is the world full of insecure and immature narcissists that have to make everything a competition in order to prove their worth? Or does the internet only attract these types?

Good idea for a game, but poorly executed. Nevada took endless tries to get into it`s spot without banging into California because it didn`t go down straight. This added 3 minutes to my time. SO frustrating!

I find it amazing that a simple game could become an outlet for anti-American comments. Not all Americans are Bush loving, small minded tools that only see as far as their own neighborhood. I`d love to try my hand at a European version to see how well I`d do.
