The "form" question actually was a giveaway. The keyword here was "apply"...

19. What INS form is used to "apply" to become a naturalized citizen?

Form N-200 "Petition for Naturalization"
>>N-400 "Application for Naturalization"<<
Social Security card
FD-258

Only one of the answers had "Application" in it, hence, the right answer.

And womanfoo, I like your style!

The only one I got wrong was the one about the form. If you were born in America you should know all this. If you emigrated, you should at least know the current political situation and the most important bits of history. The reason why we get in such big messes like Iraq is because we just decide it`s easier to be ignorant.

Is it stupid to rant on the internet? Oh, well. :)

Fail. You confuse pilgrims with the conquistadors and European market-men. Even then, they barely touched North America.

Wow they give this test out to people? To see if they can become a citizen of the us. We must really hate aliens.

No, it`s just nice to have immigrants that can speak english fluently and have them apreciate what our ancestors wen`t through to make this country. =/. I wish more teens weren`t like this lol.
Also Vindicate, honostly, most of the people that took this test and scored low are in they`re teens. I myself am on the lower part of it and haven`t studied American History as of yet, and I scored a 55%. I`d like to think that isnt terribly bad.

yeah its funny woomanfoo, many americans say things like that all the time, "i hate america, i hate bush" things like that, but they dont realize how great they have it. if they lived else where, THEY would be the ones getting invaded, they would have no food to eat, and they would be the ones trying to get INTO america...people dont appreciate what is handed to them, just look at rich spoiled kids.

and the guy who said that he was dumb, blame bush, NO i blame you for being stupid. its not the president`s fault that you are stupid, its because youre lazy.

oh btw, 100%, i agree that technically the president CAN declare war, but it still requires congress approval...and for all you people who blame bush for the war in iraq, CONGRESS declared that war...liberal pieces of poo.

That`s true signed_in, but it kind of depends on how you look at it. Jamestown was technically the first settlement, but the men there weren`t looking to LIVE in America. They just wanted to stay long enough to earn money, and then go back home. The pilgrims looking to avoid religious persecution in Europe were the first large group to actually settle down in America to stay.

19 out of 20. Missed number 19 (application form to become naturalized.) Irrelevant since I am a natural-born US citizen.

I`m with BigBonny on this one. What`s the point of the historical questions anyway? Even if the test was about American values, it could`ve been moral questions rather than historical ones. I got 65%, but I don`t have any plans to move to USA, so it`s alright.

95% - I missed the same one as S_J_W for the same reason; The President CAN declare war for a total of 90 days before having to get congressional approval.

This quiz should be required when you do your taxes... as an incentive, the higher your score, the less you would pay taxes.

Now, there`s incentive for getting off your ass and learning more about your country.

Yes, banana_benda. Doomed. Ha. I got 30% percent. There were only about 2 or 3 that I didn`t guess.

And what does it mean that you have to be `naturally-born in America` or something like that to be president. Does that mean I couldn`t be president? That`s gay.

I protest the fact that I missed #18. It only accepts “congress” as an answer while the fact is that the President can also declare war for a total of 90 days before having to get congressional approval. Some of the test is worded awkwardly too. The answer to #10 is “They represent the 13 original states” but technically it should say “the 13 original colonies”. Additionally, #12 asks “How many changes or amendments are there to The Constitution?”… so what do they want, the total number of amendments or the number of amendments (changes) added to The Constitution after the drafting of The Bill of Rights? Luckily “17” wasn’t an available answer or I might have gotten that one wrong due to the poor phrasing.

Kinda sad that aliens can pass this but the people that live here have no idea what`s going on. Guess it just goes to show what a little dedication and studying can do. Must be why the school system is so effed up in America.

90% - Don`t really know what form to use for citizenship and I don`t know what amendment does NOT regard voting rights. My bad.

Citizens MUST know this. These are just basic facts on the overall system of the U.S. even if it seems like a history quiz when people don`t know these it takes away from our identity as a whole and is one of the main reasons Americans are viewed as retards by the rest of the world.
