I dont think he was supposed to drink it.
Oggleboppite: If you`re replying to me, I never said that if you disagree with me, you`re wrong. I`m just ginving my thoughts on the matter. I never said that there were no exceptions. Of course there are exceptions, I`d be an idiot to think otherwise. So don`t have me saying things I never said.
And I never said people should beat their kids, either. You can discipline a child without putting a hand to them. I never said anything about beating. But if you fail to discipline a child, they will have issues. You don`t have to beat them to discipline them, though.
If you`re not replying to me, then never mind.
Also, there are at least a few exceptions to every rule, so I don`t want to hear any miracle "unbeaten children" stories right now.
That sounds like some Oprah crap right there.
And the sooner the kid gets to this stage of development, the more advanced they are.
What kind of intelligence? Drop out of school because you`re smart enough to get a job without an education smart?
Either way, he wasn`t successful, so hes a dumb little poo.
Oh, and smart people need to be beat just as much, if not more, than dumb people."
It`s a sign of intelligence in young children, I never said it was a sign of intelligence in adults. For young children it`s when they work out they can manipulate the situation they`re in, when they learn that adults AREN`T all-knowing, and that not telling the truth is a possibility. THEN the parents teach them that lying is wrong, and hopefully the parents are good at this and the child then develops a morality. Morality is not the same as intelligence, and in young children, morality has not been completely taught. You can`t be angry at a kid the FIRST time he`s caught in a lie because he would yet have had the negative enforcement from the parent for him to k
what a cutie. =P
Oh, and smart people need to be beat just as much, if not more, than dumb people.
you could tell its fake
erm...did i just say `lets teach kids to lie to make them smart`? no, i didnt did i? - now shut up.Not only was i refering to an earlier post but it was said with irreverence you t*tbrain.
A persons ability to lie convincingly and manipulate is an indication of their intelligence; I suspect you were a very honest child.
i hope the parents disiplined them more than just a stern voice saying "you shouldnt do that." (unless that was his first lie... but its not.)kids wont learn if they dont have any consequences for their actions. besides, if you let this kid get away with it, he will be likely to learn how to do it more sucessfully.
being a SUCESSFUL liar is an indication of intelligence. I wouldnt give up on him yet.
Take him to the woodshed, spank him, then send him to bed without any supper. Start over tomorrow. He will learn, and Mom`s life will be better.
And when he`s older and has his own lying brat to deal with, he can pass life`s lesson on.
Anyway, stupid little ****er.
