the dog is being towed on a motorcycle. the dog is having fun. is he having fun? well, i don`t know. but, the dog is definitely being towed on a motorcycle. i wonder what the guy on the bike was thing "golly clarence, why is that creepy man filming us? i mean we`re just towing a dog with our cycle, nothing crazy about that eh?"

hahaha! you guys need to loosen up, i mean, its only a dog..being towed with a motorcycle, i mean, its not like its in any REAL danger, was there REAL danger in that short clip? no. soo there ya go. ;) well..i`ve said my piece, more than enough of my piece, in my opinion. ha.

When people (safely) have dogs in the open bed of a truck, they have them harnessed (not leashed) in in a way that prevents them from jumping. IF that`s possible on this rig, then I can`t find fault. I`d rather see the dog strapped into a sidecar, though.

I`ve seen the aftermath of a dog jumping out of a truck bed going only 50 mph. Tragic. Dogs just don`t understand inertia.

"i don`t see any difference between this & the men who let their dogs roam free in the truckbed soo..."

I completely agree. I see people with dogs on a flatbed truck (no walls) and the god seems fine. The dogs are in worse danger if they have a leash or something holding them in, because if they try to jump off they`ll just hang themselves. I`ve seen it happen at a truck stop.

Granted, they *could* have gotten a big cage and strapped it down, but why? He`s a good dog who isn`t going to jump off, so there`s no reason for that.

I just had the weirdest image in my head: the motorcyclists had to slam their brakes and the dog went flying...

That image would be funnier if the dog was one of those little yappy ones.

I can also imagine a truck full of PETA activists chasing after them.

Letting them roam free in the truck bed is illegal lol. At least he has goggles.

LOL. My dog that I just got (still a puppy) always wants to jump out the window of our car to go smell stuff, and we always have to hold her collar to make sure she doesn`t. One day, while we were at a stoplight, we stopped holding her collar and she jumped out the window to drink out of the gutter. It was HILARIOUS, all the people in the other cars were laughing too...

That was the coolest thing I have ever seen! Come on you guys ... the dog is not being abused. Does it LOOK like he is struggling or having a horrible time? NO he doesn`t! I want a dog so bad and if I had the money and the means, I would do the same thing except one thing, I would get him a helmet or have one made for him because I haven`t seen helmets for dogs before. AND I would put a helmet on myself too. The driver and the passenger weren`t wearing them either. Not a fun thing to clean up if you crack or smash your skull if you crash.

BigBonny: Uh, the "bad ass dog" comments aside, this is ridiculously unsafe. If this is in America, don`t you guys have the equivalent of the RSPCA?

In America, we have the PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Is that what you`re talking about?

I couldn`t see any straps on him or anything, but he also doesn`t move at all (smarter than my dogs, they would end up flying off the end of it because they tried to jump up to me). I probably would have put him in his gigantic doggy cage and strapped that thing down with 500 bungy cords.

It`s just as safe for the dogs, as the human. All you nay sayers probably don`t realize that the dog is probably like a child to those people, so they decided to take him on the outing they are on. I would have been more upset if the dog were`t wearing goggles.
Dog probably knows he`s going somewhere fun, like the lake or something. My dog is at best behavior when we head for the lake.
I personally own a scooter, and I`m currently looking to trailer my dog with the scooter so he can continue to go everywere I go, and save on gas. However, I do have to say I live in a very tiny mountain town where the speed limit is 25mph.
My choice would not be the highway, but that`s me.

Its pretty obvious that the dog is used to traveling like that, and he`s probably having fun. No, its probably not the safest thing, and I question whether its legal or not, but people take their kids for rides on motorcycles all the time. The dog is in no more danger than that.

So holding their heads out of the window on car journeys...i`d have thought this was a stellar alternative.
The dog probably wouldn`t understand the concept of hitting asphalt on your neck at 70 anyway.

He`s basically having the car-window treatment on a larger scale. Time of his life, methinks.

Yes, that dog is wearing goggles. That way bugs don`t get into his eyes. I don`t think I could ever do that to my dog. I would pay a friend to take our dog & follow us in their car to wherever we have relocated to.

As long as he`s strapped down OK he`ll be fine and probably loves it.
