Don`t be a douche.``
Don`t be a psychotic bitch who has no social life who takes boring classes :]
I`ve taken plenty of classes on biology and A/P.
Don`t be a douche.
And everybody giving crap about the spiritual side and everything, hopefully doing this to a patient will finally prove that God is a load of bullpoo.
When someone is declared clinically dead they only have residual nerve activity in the body, and cell metabolism ends due to lack of oxygen.
This article isn`t referring to actual death, just to heart failure. It isn`t news that you can use a heart-lung bypass machine to keep someone alive, it`s the foundation of many cardiovascular surgeries.
And Baalthazaq, don`t mistake your beliefs for everyones. I`m sure you`d agree we`re all entitled to our own ideas, and I don`t appreciate mine being compared to disney cartoons
LMFAO!!! Prodotto, that was ridiculously funny
On a more serious note though you do have Sleeping Sickness.
It`s quite awful that still all the time we discover new things that we have done completely wrong without realising it. I really wonder what else so unquestionable is going to be turned upside down.
1) The whole point of this article is pretty much that they`re *not* dead when they announce "clinical death", but that the resuscitation process kills them beyond a certain point.
2) The idea that you go directly to heaven/hell is more common in Disney cartoons than any theology.
3) Is there any reason your spirit would leave as soon as the heart stops for 10 seconds compared to 15 mins, compared to 2 hours, compared to the spirit leaving and coming back in the peak or lull of every heartbeat?
XD Hahahaha! Priceless, that just made my day.Thank you :-D ROFL
I SHALL RULE ALL!!!!!!!!
..Then again, it`s probably already out there.
I don`t understand how they`re saying that the "brain has shut down to conserve oxygen". I was under the impression that quite the opposite occurred during an emergency, that only the nervous, circular, and respirotory (and maybe the urninary, I`m not as familiar with my physiology) systems remained active, to keep the brain supplied with oxygen.
Nervous tissue can`t survive without oxygen because of the accelerated metabolism in it, and it isn`t reproduced because of it`s inherent longevity, so any brain damage done would be permanent.
