That is all.
I have actually been in a house that`s like this, my friend`s mom keeps all this random old crap, and when she`s not happy with the way it looks she makes my friend "clean it up". Except that`s not possible. And on top of being cluttered to hell, living with her and her mom used to be 18 boys and her dad. No typo, 18.
This is a really common thing, I think I might have it. It`s kind of like, I don`t want to get rid of things because I`m afraid I`ll forget all of the memories associated with it, or I know I`ll need it one day and keep it forever. It sucks, too, because I love having my room clean, it just feels wierd some times. It`s mostly clothes and books, I have so many books... they`re in crates under my bed, 6-7 of them.
Seems like the old owners of this house were packrats too, we found old pornos stashed in the basement cieling. :D
buy here tickets and reserve a hotel room for a week. While she`s gone, rent a dumpster and trash all of that stuff. I suppose I would sell some of it if it looked valuable. I don`t care how pissed she would be when she got back. Also, I would throw away all her medicine bottles just to scare her.
You cant tell from that, but on the back of it it says, "i will collect every feather one at a time, mwauahahahahahahahahah"
And I thought my room was crowded, SHEESH!
yus, you can infact use anything heavier than a peice of paper: coffee mug...miniature globe...dead tamagotchi...lump of cheese...tin of peach halves...sandle...domino...set of dentures...his and hers bath robes...signed LP of shakin` Stevens greatest hits (not mine)...straw donkey...or borrow an elbow, for instance.
This looks like the kind of house where insane rube goldberg machines are probably made, came to my mind.
Or she might just get extremely pissed off.
This person needs help. I mean serious help.
I tend to use a coffee cup for a paper weight, multi purpous like a swiss army knife
how in the world do you live like that? you live outside while all your crap lives in your house. clean it up, throw it all away!!
A group of scientists have actually isolated the activity in the brain that seems to be common with this type of OCD. Unfortunately, they do not respond to treatment as is common for other forms of the disorder. :-(
I have seen this hoarding problem quite often - I think it`s a problem that`s more common than people may assume.
