I was totally thinking this was about `Roxanne` by The Police. Major mistake on my part.

Buddy: "I remember Roxanne`s Revenge being SO COOL when I was in junior high."

Oh god, he posted again. So intimidating :(.
I was too scared to play this, so nothing to comment on really.

I agree with Oks. For the most part modern hip hop is pooty but you can find artists who still have something to say

to the people talkin bout how better it was, it`s not necessarily so. Today there are many sellouts, commercial "artists" and so on, but the fact that a bunch is doing millions allows a couple of really good artist to live of their music, not having to work besides doing music. In the old days there were no Atmosphere, no Aesop Rock, no Sage Francis... so don`t tell me it was better....

Now that people is the days when hip hop wasnt commercialised. I love the old skool tracks and rhymes, because it was about the struggles in life. Now its about bitches, hoes and how much they got. Its really siht ryte now. Underground hip hop is still good. NAS, Tech n9ne are good. 50 cent sucks and so does p.diddy and bow wow.

Seems like mostly an East Coast thang. We were into the Miami bass and LA gangsta sounds, didn`t hear much about the whole Roxanne thing. The BDP diss was funny as hell.

Well Buddy, you`re not the only one who`s old. I have a Roxanne Roxanne LP in a box in my attic collecting dust! I`m so glad I was around to see the beginnings of rap. The old stuff is so much better than what`s out today.

In my opinion, old rap sounds a lot better than the new stuff. And I`m one of those people with an eclectic taste in music :)
