They have no traffic laws in India. Do you realize how hard it would be to enforce them over THAT MANY PEOPLE?

I thought so.

Me and my friends do this after going out to Rocky Horror at 2 in the morning. :D

That was pretty funny. Notice, after he crossed the second lane of traffic, there was a huge gap in cars. Typical that it would come only after he crossed. lol

india does have pedestrian crossing(aka zebra crossing), ive been there
but you still have to look for cars :S so basically theres no point in having them there

Re the beeping thing. It`s required by Indian law when passing someone. Seriously. Most cars don`t have side mirrors - traffic is too close to one another (The lane concept doesn`t exist at all) that you`ll only go and break them. Indian built cars (as in Indian car manufacturers) don`t even design car mirrors for cars destined for the local market...

basket case you`ll find it wastes more fuel to start/restart your car at a stop light.

i think it`s somewhere in vietnam my mom was talking about when she got home from a trip that traffic is alot like that and you just have to walk straight across the street at one speed and people will go around you if you stop you will get hit and if you run you will get hit

I know India is still taking steps to modernize their entire country, but wouldn`t you think the idea of a crosswalk would have reached them by now?

maybe its just this street...

jetmark...
They shut off their motors at red lights to save fuel.
Americans could learn a thing or two...

Right...

you obviously know nothing about cars because shutting off then turning on your engine uses more gas then staying in idle for a majority of red lights

Lol, that has to suck. All those tiny cars and vehicles keep things a lot safer. My mustang would never get out of first gear on roads like that. I love the open road..nothing like hitting 80mph on an open road and enjoying a stress free ride.

No lanes.
Most of the cars are small and the auto rickshaws are small enough to weave and dodge. Same with cycles.

They shut off their motors at red lights to save fuel.

There`s no lanes there. Damn, Americans ARE bad drivers. If those were Americans I would`ve seen sooo much fingering, cursing, and deaths. Or as they call them here, `Accidents.`
