He lost me at soddering...
Bravo, I say, but only for this post. To the rest of the stupid MetaCafé posts, I call b/-s (at least to the ones up to now).
its too much work for me haha
like i`m gonna break out my soldering iron to make that piece-o-crap work. damn.
Still, the biggest question ever: WHY ON EARTH would anyone want a DISPOSABLE digital camera?? That can only multiply the electronic waste amount.
Talk about some Jack Bauer poo. I half expected him to say once the wires are attached you have 30 seconds before self destruction. Besides, there are plenty of decent cameras out there for cheap. One of my first digital cameras was a 3 pixel for $20 from Walmart. I find myself using that more than my piece of poo Cannon that I paid a couple of hundred for.
sertrbl: the disposable camera is a great idea, especially for people who need one really quick, don`t need to worry about losing it, or forget their camera and don`t want to buy one.
It`s only an "evil" way to make money if someone is retarded enough to buy a disposable camera again and again and again without investing in a real film or digital camera.
Digital disposable: They just transfer your pics to their server, print them off. Then delete and reset the camera settings."which is a sucessful and evil way to earn money."Did knox do it yet?"oh, thats gunna be the new "photoshopped" isnt it?
if they can make a digital camera that cheap, then just sell it like it is, sheesh. Why try to steal and rape consumers, by adding false limits, gah i hate the world.
Regular disposable: They take the film out, develop it, pop some more film back in and make sure the flash battery is good.
Digital disposable: They just transfer your pics to their server, print them off. Then delete and reset the camera settings.
This is a neat idea to know, but it`s only worth it if you have the few tools you need, then you might as well do it.
Sheesh...you guys make it sound like heart surgery. I really think this is a cool, simple little hack that eliminates the need to throw the camera in the garbage when you don`t need to (how en-vi-ro-men-ta-ly unfriendly!!), and plus, you can "stick it to the man" by re-using a digital camera that was really meant for a one time use.
1.3MP, it`s small and it`s only $30. There were cheaper ones on pricegrabber as well...but only like .3 mp
Hi, let me takes pictures of you with this loud shuttered, flash enabled disposable camera...ah ha you didn`t see me do it, I`m a spy.
I mean, if you were a real cheap person this may be a good idea, or if you had the money and time to waste on a rainy day project. Otherwise it seems to me to be a bit silly.
