I was expecting better. Most of those trees are like art pieces more than natural. Some were nice though.

This was an awesome link. I`ve seen the circus trees, the trees from Redwood National Park, the Banyan tree, and the Baobab trees. The trees from Quaking Aspen and the Chapel-Oak of Allouville-Bellefosse are really cool. :-)

I have an "old friend" that could be added...on my grandparents old property there is a big old tree that was set fire to by neighbor kids when my mom was young, back in the 50s. Most of it is still charred black, one whole `side` missing from the ground up, a big hole on the oppose side of it, and the tree entirely hollow. Enough so that you can see the wood that curves into the limbs from inside the trunk. I remember being able to stand inside it, look up, and see sky. Then duck down and go out the hole large enough for a person to exit.

Thing that always amazed me is that it`s still alive. So many trees die of such minor things, I don`t know how this one lives being hollow. A true symbol of determination to survive. :-)

i thought #10 was the prettiest. :D i`m not one for huge trees, because you can only see the whole thing if you`re really, really far away.

and the picture of the banyan tree on the ruins kinda reminds me of a spider web.

"Apparently, being the only tree in that part of the wide-open desert (remember: there wasn’t another tree for 250 miles around), wasn’t enough to stop a drunk Libyan truck driver from driving his truck into it, knocking it down and killing it!" It was destined to die, I guess...

circus trees are cool, but they don`t occur naturally, like everything else on that list...

How the heck does a drunk drivier manage to hit the ONLY THING above the sand for 250 miles, is what I want to know! I mean, god or something must have been like "I smite you!" *beep beep! crash!*

idont think number one should be number one. i think the "circus trees" or those trees that grow together and connect underground should be number 1 and 2.

Those are spiffy looking. We have a tree here I call it the Alaskan palm tree. Its a birch tree that has it branches only at the top and in the summer it reminds me of the palm trees in Hawaii.

lets have more tree links and less cats.

one time in 7th or 8h gread me and my friend flicked all the flacky bark off this tree at school. we were just passing the time at the end of lunch time. about 2 weeks later in pe the teacher had up gather around that tree that was now covered in some tar looking stuf to tell us that "someone" picked all the bark off of if and made it sick and it cost the school alot of money to fix it. im glad me and my friend didnt have pe together. it was all i could do not to laugh out loud. if he was in the class with me i proly would have pissed my pants laughing. i mean this bark was falling off on its own. i saw a mild gust of wind blow some of it off.
