Not content ordering from the menu? Need to have that extra little bit of class that comes from ""knowing the chef""?

This guide is awesome tho i might not try some of them, its still awesome. Now you people saying stuff like " id never go to these places... id rather go to richy ass restaurants were people can kiss my ass while i sit on my lazy butt sitting and looking a pictures of food thats like $20 for soup" now some of us might not have the mega bucks that it takes to go to one of the fancy restaurants. So we look to one of these guides to give us some new things too try at offordable places!

Superstevio`s link made me remember McDonalds!

I forgot to mention it because the article didn`t ... I worked at McDonalds in high school and they have two policies that are really nice. #1 is the same as those others in the link - if it is possible to make it from ingredients we had on hand, it would be made. Lots of people wanted veggie burgers with just no bun. Some people wanted banana burgers, some wanted McRib sauce on their Big mac -all kinds of stuff. If we could possibly do it, we had to. Grilled cheese was popular too, we`d make it from the round middle Big Mac buns.

Also, #2 is that if a customer complains, even about a McDonalds in another country 10 years ago, give them something to compensate them. If they say their order was messed up, you automatically give them a free one. (Knowing that was awesome in college ;-))

"theres a fast food place called in-n-out? "

Yes, it`s in California.

As for Dairy Queen, they will make things that aren`t on the menu. I`ve ordered blizzards with mint ice cream and other things that aren`t on the main menu.

McDonald`s is pretty good at doing this too. Unless you get a completely incompetent employee (often a possibility) you can pretty much order any combination of ingredients they have on their menu. They actually have buttons on their register for customizing (extra patties, different toppings, etc)

Taco Bell is the best with this kind of thing. I have a friend who used to work at Taco Bell and he said they have the ingredients in the back to make almost anything they`ve ever sold.

People seem to be afraid to try ordering anything that isn`t stated on a "menu." I try to customize almost anything I get at a restaurant, because a good restaurant won`t want to tell you "no."

mal_BB, I think you mean "queue"... unless you`re trying to order at a pool hall... but I agree, doing this when it`s busy is probably not wise!

I need to go to Starbucks now. I`m going to ask them to put their hand in the blender. And then make me a cappuccino.

This should be named `How to get your fast food spat in by the employee`. Anyone who tries this when there is a long cue or the staff are rushed of their feet are a complete shower of basta*rds.

I can`t believe this has such a low rating. The glory is in shaking things up, so that they can`t give you the standard prepackaged crap - and as when ordering airline food, that often results in a better meal!

You know what I get from taco bell?
A nacho cheese chalupa with rice instead of meat. :]
But that`s only when I`m like, pressed for time to eat...
I don`t really like fast food. I mean, don`t get me wrong, french fries are f*cking awesome, but other than that... it`s not very good stuff.

I wonder about Dairy Queen. I mean, I wonder if they`d actually figure out what you ordered, or if they`d just stare at you and think you`re being a smart@$$.

From my experience, the Mustard Whopper is only in Texas, and elsewhere they just give you a mustard-only burger.

If you`re ever in Texas, stop by Whataburger and try the Triple Meat Triple Cheese Burger. It`s not a secret, but it is awesome (if you`re into killing yourself).
