I did not like that there was no way to prevent that. Upgrading a tower costs more than the tower itself, with only about 90% of the bonus to damage, so it isn`t worth upgrading anything at all.
Since upgrading the towers is pointless, needing to slow the enemies down is unnecessary, unless you have a bunch of towers clustered together, but then the slow reload time (and no splash) of the slow towers makes them nearly useless. The damage towers are a better bargain than the splash towers when you consider damage/time. The fast towers are a joke, except at the very beginning of the game.
Therefore, you`re left playing with two towers, which makes for a lame game.
