I dont think the dog would be depressed.. He knows he`s hitting the ball because it`s moving when he runs into it. I don`t know about you, but my dog cant fit an entire soccer ball into her mouth, so in reality a dog would never `get` the ball anyway.

We have a bunch of those in our mall and you can play with it if its not filled up with kids. There is also a pacman one, where your pacman. Its not that fun tho, because you can go through the walls.

I would feel bad for my dog, after about two minutes, I would think she would become discouraged if she can`t get it.

AND FOR GODDS SAKE COLORBLIND DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN`T SEE COLOR!!! IF YOU ARE COLORBLIND, COLORS ONLY LOOK DIFFERENT! UNLESS YOU ARE MONOCHROMATIC WHIS IS LESS THAN .008% OF ALL MALES.

LOL...doesn`t anyone do any research around here?
Its called a Reactrix. Companies use it to get people`s attention so they can sell their product. It`s interactive as you can see in the video.
Go to http://www.reactrix.com and watch the vid.

BTW...because its used for ads..no you can`t buy one.

I love that Virtual Screen! They have one at my local mall, and it kept all the children very busy last year when they were waiting on line to take pictures with Santa. No more screaming babies!

they have one of those at Phillips Arena in atlanta and also in the (i think) north point mall in alpharetta (a suburb of atlanta)... i don`t think those people bought that for their dog... it`s in a lot of public places

I don`t know about dogs, but I think this would be good for children too. Parents don`t have to worry about a ball bouncing around the house and breaking things.

Jebler, dogs CAN see color, they just can`t see it the same way that we do, they see purple and yellow but can`t see red, for instance. But dogs aren`t completly color blind :P

I`d rather have my dog play with something that he can actually catch and chew on. I`ll stick to the rope toys and real doggy soccer balls.

must be sad for the dog that he can`t "get" the ball. but cute and hilarious to do. it`s fun with a laser pointer.

dogs are color blind. they see just like us but no color. or thats what some researcher thought at some point and now its accepted as fact.

you can get the same affect with a $4.99 laser pointer.

Ceasar Milan ("the dog whisperer") says toys like this make the dog anxious and depressed because the dog can never catch it (it`s the same with flashlights or laser pointers)...

...But what the fBOOP does he know,LOL

Right ON!! This way, you don`t risk a flying ball knocking over stuff AND it never goes flat (unlike $10 balls).

Yakkitori, I think that as long as something is moving, dogs can see it.

Female 560
that so awesome but kinda pointless why not just buy a $10 ball instead of buying like the $100 buck projector
