They`re not really lunchboxes. They`re just lunches. Obviously someone doesn`t know the difference.
Lunch = food.
Lunchbox = box that food goes in.

But pretty impressive.

most food like that has a very high starch content. it would more than likely be in the same exact shape when it got to the lunch table. i wish i was born in japan... i really do.

I made my own lunch from a very young age. It never looked as good as those, but consisted of fruit snacks and oreos, so it`s okay.

all young kids get lunches like this every day. sometimes, if the mom doesnt make it good enough, the teacher will actually call the mom and tell her she needs to do better.

I`ve read about this...Called "bento boxes", I believe (or something similar). It`s very common among schoolkids. Well, not THAT elaborate, but "artistic" lunches are common.

My dad always made my lunch... and it consisted of luke-warm string cheese, luke warm because it sat next to the bad soup, and occasionally some form of cheap juice...
:[ He tried, but... I just buy my lunch now... or don`t eat. Our school lunches aren`t much better.

Once the lid`s on and it`s rattled around for a while, it wont look anything like that.

My packed lunches were just: sandwiches, chocolate biscuit bar, crisps (chips to you Americans) and maybe a juicebox.

An elaborate lunchbox~

An wiener imitated an octopus & a rabbit shaped apple, etc. are the typical style in the lunchbox. But those are kinda too noisy, I think.

My mother used to give me stale bread and tell me it was toast. I was lucky if I had the crust cut off.

...mind you, I would have probably had the sh*t kicked out of me if I ever showed up to school with any one of those lunch creations.

I`m not sure what frightens me more: The fact I can name well over half of those characters, or the fact that kids eat them. (Or potentially could.)
