We housed a car onto a main rocket and two support boosters.

Unfortunately, we misaligned it by 3 mm.

We really didn`t think 3 mm would matter that much.

    Oops...

Basically, a very old English car called a "Reliant Robin" which only has 3 wheels, and usually is used by the disabled/old was made into a space shuttle and attatched to a rocket. They wanted it to fly up, detatch, and fly to Earth.

i have to admit, that was funny. i do really like top gear. but this had a complete disregard for the problems of global warming. there was, actually, no point in that and the amount of fumes let off were just damaging to our already fragile atmosphere.

Okay the problem of global warming has very little to do with what man has done to it. Total human contributions to greenhouse gases account for only about 0.28% of the "greenhouse effect". Anthropogenic (man-made) carbon dioxide (CO2) comprises about 0.117% of this total, and man-made sources of other gases ( methane, nitrous oxide (NOX), other misc. gases) contributes another 0.163%. But good old mother earth contributes approximately 99.72% of the "greenhouse effect" is due to natural causes -- mostly water vapor and traces of other gases, which we can do nothing at all about. Eliminating human activity altogether would have little impact on climate change. Source http://www.clearlight.com/~mhieb/WVFossi...

So I doubt they did very little to hurt the atmosphere..

Response to medic1971 --- Thank You for the link. One of the most informative and factual explanations I have ever read on the (lack of) human effect on global warming.

Clearly, a voice of scientific common sense in a world full of paranoia!

"Unfortunately, a lot of disinformation about where Earth`s climate is heading is being propagated by "scientists" who use improper statistical methods, short-term temperature trends, or faulty computer models to make analytical and anecdotal projections about the significance of man-made influences to Earth`s climate."

Why is this show not on over here. All UK shows kick American sh*t in the ass.

And for all those worrying about global warming it probably won`t effect us in our life time. Calm down you left wing hippies.

great take off and great landing. and as for the global warm debut, WHO cares? yes it maybe hotter that it has been, but human bodys will adapt. stop complaing! mother nature gave us something to fight the heat- it call water. so... drink more water or bake in the sun, i hope people pick the baking.

To MisterNo: You are=retard, I imagine you are feeling the sunlight reflecting off of the cars onto your dumbass face, just like it is hotter walking on an asphalt road at Midnoon, as opposed to walking in a grassy field. Global warming is a bunch of crap and that bitch on the first page is a really big bitch to bring it up in the comments for no reason, stupid baishes. On a side note, I love top gear, but I can`t watch it anymore cause no science channel ;(. Although, I have to agree with Jetmark, that Toyota episode was badass.

Uh oh! Car fall down go boom!! :-(

I`m going to ignore the climate-change debate and just say this: That was one small step for British autos, but one giant leap for auto enthusiasts.
They didn`t really think to get that thing into space, though...did they?

I`m impressed by what they achieved though. It looked good. Top Gun is the name of this show? I will have to look it up.
