Americans do have witty comedy. Comedians have more than just the actual joke to think about. I find all the American comedians I have seen are very enthusiastic and do much better imitations than that guy did. The comedian kind of overworked a single part of some joke after it already had its laugh. If your ignorant assumption that the Americans didn`t find this funny, it`s probably because we actually know what funny is :-P. Pick up a Dane Cook cd. Clever, enthusiastic, non-repetitive (like some parts in this act), and just all around hilarious.
