phroedoux: "Its called dragon scales. Full body armor lighter and more flexible than Kevlar. It can also cover the entire body, rather than solid armors that can only cover parts. Its completely soft until it gets hit, then it goes rigid for a second, and repells the bullet." With a shell like this, you would barely even feel the bullet, when that dragon scale stuff deflects the bullet, it`s going to hurt like a mofo, and someone can still break your arm or knock you out by hitting you with a bat, it`s basically advanced chain mail, which was used under plate armor in the medieval ages because stuff couldn`t pierce it (like your dragon scale stuff) but it didn`t really help blunt blows. Same concept with the dragin scales and this suit thing.

that suit is stupid. it has no reinforcement at the joints so it won`t work against ied`s. It`s just asking to get your arm/neck/knee blown clean off.

poo, if not used for the military can you imagine what S.W.A.T. troops could do with that. You could almost wade into waist high pile of crack heads and gang members without any harm. It`s intimidating appearence would be a strong deterrent in and of it`s self.

That is amazing XD But there is a major gap on the neck and on the hands there is no armor...the person could shoot of the hands or the head

yep you are correct redgun123 and its called magnetorheological fluid it stays in liquid form for meneuverability untill point of inpact when it stiffens up as hard as steel stoping anything in its way... but i think it has to be activated by a magnetic field or something

this guy should leave it to the professionals... sure hes building something helpful but he lacks the funds that the army soldiers deserve... right now scientists are spending millions of dollars building equipment liek liquid body armor, and exoskeleton suits http://science.howstuffworks.com/ffw.htm

Pretty cool, but it appears too bulky to wear ammo and the rest of the Marines battle gear though. If they can sort that out and add a bigass blade somewhere on it by the time I enlist that would be kick ass.

i think it needs a better name, and be a lil less bulky, needs better hand and neck protection, and peripheral vision is way too cut off

but still, pretty good, now they gota make it green like MJOLNIR

If you`ve ever seen the stuff the original bear suit he kept reffering to, the material is very bullet proof and very light weight. Obviously the suit needs a lot of work from some military engineers, but it is for the most part rather impressive for something built at home by this one guy and his friends.

You guys all say that it`s inefficient technology, behind in the times, etc. etc. But look at the facts, a CANADIAN inventor comes up with something that can probably be fairly easily mass produced and is marketable right now. If you`re a soldier, you`re not gonna wanna wait an extra 15-20 years for this "dragon skin" suit.

At this point man kind shouldnt even need this. It would freak me out to see someone in a suit like that coming towards me. We spend so much money on bigger and better killing machines, and so little on actually ending war.

AND!!! The super-soldier Master Chief in the suit in Halo is called a Spartan, and this suit is called the Trojan! See that!! Plus the suit in Halo is called MJOLNIR, after something from Viking mythology. That`s geek for you

Bwahahaha does it have to be quite to "power rangers"? Regardless of how effective this suit may be at deflecting bullets, this man looks like a tw*t and is obviously a fantasist. Can you imaging trying to stealthly search narrow bombed out corridors equipped with massive fake plastic shoulder muscles?

"The U.S. is already paying MIT to come up with a suit that deflects bullets, protects against chemical agents, grants superhuman strength and makes the soldier invisible."

Great, trigger happy trailer-trash meets Predator. We are all doomed. Does it come with a built in banjo?

The US Millitary has something better, it`s call Dragon Skin. It is percing proof of anything, and it is 100% Manuverable. its like wearing a a full suite of clothing.

Now if i saw that guy walking towards me id probally laugh, thats how he kills people, while they laugh :P

"first body suit of armour" so what do they call metal suits in medival times then? lol

I saw in "nuts" mag a suit like that but looked much colour, probs cause it was being researched in the UK so we had more money going into coolness :P

That pretty damn cool, but the US and other countries are already working on much more advanced gear. The U.S. is already paying MIT to come up with a suit that deflects bullets, protects against chemical agents, grants superhuman strength and makes the soldier invisible.

It`s an awesome idea, but you`d think military R+D would be coming up with stuff like this first. They have the money and the brainpower, after all.
Also...the Trojan?? Dude, you GOTTA come up with a better name. If you really want to emulate HALO, call it the Spartan. Or Mjolnir. Just not...Trojan. Seriously.

Awesome. I saw something on the military channel about a similar suit the US is developing, it needs 15-20 years becuase it plans to have artificial muscle in it to supplant the maneuverability issues. this guys suit looks awesome no doubt it would probably save alot of lives. and no sane inventor would lie about the effectiveness of ones invention. a follow-up video with the suit being shot at would be awesome to see.

That is awesome, imagine what they could do with that if it was funded by America`s military. I`m liking the avatar atomic ;D.

Spent the whole video waiting to see him get shot or stabbed. Then in the last five seconds they show people hitting him with clubs. Less talk and more proof would have been good.
