It`s too bad Sammy212 can`t spell "properly" properly.
Wait..no im not. Toothpicks make a star shape. Big woop.
Christ...how can you say it`s fake when so many people say they`ve tried it and worked? One of said people even posted right before you.
They moved into a star but didn`t really open up. Still cool.
it`s not 10 toothpicks fool, it`s 5 snapped in half, do you not read?
The absoption of water by dry wood will cause it to revert back to its original shape, because it`s been growing straight for so long. Just like how some origami flowers(specifically lotus flowers) bloom from a bud-shape when in contact with water. it tries to go back to a flat shape, but blooms instead because of the folds.
Like anyone really needed that explanation.
I didn`t do that!
"No its Satans doing." - yep, that is what it would have looked like 100 years ago, before "science" was invented.
The toothpicks were actually broken in half to each form 2 arms of the initial asterisk. Putting water on the center causes the toothpick to straighten out.
No wait... Photoshopped.
i wonder if that was in real time or time-lapsed...
