It has a Jewish sound to it. If you heard klezmer music, you would know what I`m talking about.

I googled "Pump it". Apparently the tune comes from an earlier song, called Misirlou. The song was Greek, and this arrangement is an Orientalized one (Wikipedia says it, not me!), hence the "Jewish" sound.

Sigh...a man bets his life savings in a documentary YEARS ago and people still thinks it`s an advert for the site and completely made up. And the guy actually won therefore it MUST be fixed. Yeah, they kept filming attempts until he won, yeah casinos would do that, as well as letting people put magnets in specific slots.

It`s obvious that the casino let him do this because they could have won a load of money. And since he won, that still doesn`t matter because a load of idiots would come and do the same thing, and because the odds are ever so slightly in favour of the casino, the casinos would overall make a profit. Besides, it`s not exactly like the casino would have been terrified of losing $136000 when they already have millions.

(And if it were an advert, he would have bet on a number, not just red/black.)

As Kippling said
-----------------
IF you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch and toss
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss.
---------------

It certinatly takes some nerve to do that. Wonder how he wuold have reacted if he had lost.

Frick you call that a video?!
what a joke.
atleast make some freak reaction happen so it goes on the number beside the 7 and he loses everything right when he`s dancing.
damnit!

I question the legitimacy. The casinos certainly benefit from not just the mere advertisement but maybe getting a trend started. I highly doubt this was truly an all or nothing deal for him, he at least signed some sort of contract prior to this that awarded him for participating in their ad.

The payout is not 2 to 1, it`s 1 to 1. 1 to 1 implies that you win the same amount that you bet, hence doubling your winnings. 2 to 1 implies that you win twice as much as you bet, so original money + winnings worth double original bet = you`ve tripled your money!

dtbrehm, thanks for taking your time to expose yourself as the true idiot, (Insert sarcasm) but I think I see your point. That`s why I found it hard to believe that there are females that are named Ashley. Like ASHLEY Olsen, ASHLEY Judd, ASHLEY Tisdale. With all these famous females, whose names just happen to be Ashley, it is kinda hard to believe that Ashley could even be considered to be a girl`s name. I`m sorry if I`m American and think so biasedly that I`m completely ignorant of other country`s naming schemes. (End sarcasm) It was a joke you twit. Do yourself a favor and laugh at least once in your pathetic life.

heres what i know about roulette payout.

colors - 2:1
odd/even - 2:1
halves - 2:1
thirds or columns - 3:1
4 touching numbers - 9:1
2 touching numbers - idk, but my guess is 15:1
1 specific number - 35:1

and i think this vid is on youtube, because i cant see anything, and youtube is currently undergoing maintenance...

Firstly, this isn`t just some fake. This guy actually came from London and bet all his possessions in one bet. Sky One filmed the whole thing.

However, on American roulette wheels aren`t there 18 red spaces, 18 black and 2 green (for 0 and 00)? Even if it only had one green space, it doesn`t equate to a 50-50 chance. Just a little technicality...

I think Einstein said it best, and I`m paraphrasing because I can`t recall the exact quote:

"The only way to surely win at Roulette is to steal the chips from the table."

Roulette has the worst odds in the entire genre of gambling games. My money goes to blackjack and poker if anything. Then again, I can count cards... and not get caught.

Roulette, the ultimate fool`s game. No way of improving your odds of winning except betting more and hence reduce your winnings.

What a fuc king IDIOT! Did he even realize what the consequences would be if he had lost it all?
I was hoping he would lose to teach other gamblers like him a lesson.

(I have bet all my money like this several times before, but if I lost, I would just restart from the last save file.)

As Tony Montanna would say,

"Choo gotta `ave bolls."

I was playing roulette one day, and a guy came up, put $1000 on red, it landed black, he cursed, then stormed away.

The dealer said aloud to the table that he hated it when people did that....
