Truth be told, you need to get a life.
Forgive me irish people but I`m just saying what I saw.
We have seriously thick walls, if we cut a hole in the wall for a TV like that it wouldn`t even go through & still look flat screen flush!
The fact that a comment as stupid as "Everyone knows that the Irish are smarter than Americans.." went unchallenged for so long cracked me up.
...and nfnfnf, I know you`re a newb to this forum, but jumping on a typo is generally considered lame...just fyi.
We have some of the best third-level education in the world. You obviously don`t know what the fudge you`re talking about.
Oh and one last thing...you really think a TV of that sixe (in picture 1) will be designed with a back that big?? It`s obviosuly an actual plasma/TFT/Tomato Juice FLAT SCREEN TV.
The picture is clearly 2 seperate images which have been put together, and your mind is filling in the rest. The top image shows the TV about 2 or 3 feet away from the back wall, yet the bottom image shows it about 6 inches away...Also the door in picture 2 should be clearly visible in picture 1 beacuse of the shortness of the wall...just look at it!!
Truth be told, Americns are actually much smarter than the Irish."
manorrd....how so?? And it`s spelt AmericAns by the way!
Wow, your pretty stupid. I think it was a clever idea, so your saying "WHY IS THIS CALLED IRISH!?" then your saying "THE IRISH ARE ALOT SMARTER THAN THE AMERICANS"
Make up your mind.
Mar nil is agam!
Truth be told, Americns are actually much smarter than the Irish.
(I live in Ireland, so there ya go :))
I`m 75% Irish. Just thought I`d throw that in.
Its actually not hard to patch up. A couple of sheets of sheetrock, a couple two by fours, some mesh tape, and spackle, and i`d have that hole fixed in a short afternoon. let the spackle dry a day, sand it down, apply a new coat, repeat, and then it can be painted over and noone will have a clue a huge gaping hole was cut out for a tv.
Its actually very easy to do, even for someone who`s never done the work before.
Seriously.. its just a wall. Not like you are trying to do some precision work on an engine.
The walls perpendicular to the wall with a huge ass tv in it also don`t seem to match up properly, but I could see it where one room extends beyond the other.
Other than that, this is probably a really bad idea. Unless you built the house yourself, cutting into the wall like that- you`ve got no idea what`s back there. You could be cutting into wires or pipes, which you would then have to repair and reroute. You`d have to build additional support for the tv, and the section of wall you removed, because you just took out 3 or 4 wood studs.
You`d also have to cut space for a tuner, media player of some kind, and any video games if you wanted them.
but as smudgie said, wot annoys me is pep who say they r 1/4 or 1/8 irish.i can get 1/2 irish cos that makes sense.but i mean deaf_woman, 1-32 irish??? please...get a grip!
And here come the half-Irish and quarter-Irish and fiftieth-Irish...Sheesh.
Well I`m FULLY IRISH and its funny man!!!! The secret is to let em laugh laugh along with them...its just a sterotype and nothing to get personally upset by....try living here and being flocked by Americans every summer who ask if you have ever seen a Leprachaun every five minutes!!! And there serious....so we know who the real dumb-asses are anyways!!!
"Yeah nfnfnf, Irish are WAY smarter than most Americans, should be called Redneck Flatcreen."
So when I post something a bit slanderous to the Scottish, I get flamed from all directions, but these comments get nothing? I do love this country!
Lets face it if you buy a flat screen, your gona have wires, unless you spend time channling out the wall.
This way you just slide it into place....
I actually saw it done in a house before flatscreens where so cheap (when they where about 5000 each) and they put a TV into the fireplace like that, worked really well.
With prices dropping by the day on flatscreens tho, its easier just to buy one.
A similar image has been posted before, i just fail to understand why you call it "Irish."
sixginers: The door isn`t even on the same wall genius
