I like rap, and this was kinda good. Lyrics were better than most famous rappers nowadays. Stupid gangstarappers. Good thing there are still people that can write.

It really disturbs me considering what this rubbish has done to the American society. I am also sickened thinking for a moment that my child may find one of these thugs a role model.

Why is the word `they` always replacing the word `their.` That pisses me off!

I like that song, better lyrics then stupid biyothches like snoop dogg and T.I. Biyotches aside, I like such a variety of music that I look past stereotypes. I get so sick of people that associate all rappers with bad lifestyles. What do you expect people to do in a video? You`re finally making some money so go and celebrate, get loads of champagne and hire some women to dance for you. I`m not saying that all rappers are dignified, I just think that this is a harmless video.

Oh and toneman, they aren`t taking drugs or sexually harrassing the women in the video. You think that the guy in this video is a thug and a bad role model. You shouldn`t judge people like that, its stupid.

if this were a more modern video it`d involve lots of snapping, leaning, and grills.

At least back then mainstream rappers had original songs. Now they don`t have any original ideas at all.

This is a classic song by a classic group. Any of you hating, close-minded individuals who say "rap is crap" or any other of those cute cliche catchphrases need to open your ears and minds. Listen to some hip hop that`s `outside the box`, which speaks on relevant issues and is more musically inclined. I could sit here and list a bunch of acts that I suggest you go check out, but I`ll give you one instead.

    Brother Ali.

Go out and get yourself a copy of "Shadows on the Sun." You won`t regret it.

And check out The Roots, too. Good music.

Oh, and another little bit of information: The Roots are a live hip hop band. Meaning the "beats" are actually compositions which are played in-studio on live instruments. The same goes for their live shows.

If you can`t respect them for that, you`re hopeless.

Oh, and omgroflwtf (last page), just separate the characters! Jeez, all of your abbreviated exclamations do only BEGIN to describe my reaction to your obliviousness!

    Like so: http:// www.i-am-bored. com

Something obvious, so people will realize where the characters have been split. And to just think; you once referred to ME as a dumbass!!

This, my friends, is a classic video. For an example of another rapper parodying music video stereotypes, listen to the lyrics in the second verse of "Daydreamin`" by Lupe Fiasco, he gives a vivid description of the stereotypical rap video.

On a side note, The Roots are genius, and Black Thought is a monster on the mic.

I cant see how people can totally distance themselves from a genre, without learning anything about it and going by Their own stereotypical views.

The Roots are one of the few genuine groups out there. It`s clear that some of the posters didn`t see the irony in the video. They`re all against the stereotypical "Imma Thug Shizzle This Nizzle That" rapper. The lyrics tell it all.
The butt cramp was funny as hell. I knew it would only be a matter of time before she got tired of shaking her ass.
