That is so sad, yet utterly hilarious! He doesn`t need put to sleep, the dogs not in pain, well except when he hits his head on the floor. Carpet the whole house!

Putting him down seems a little unnecessary. Yeah, it`s unforunate he can`t be a real dog in the fact that he can`t get overexcited, but isn`t his life still worth something? He looks pretty happy when he`s calm.

That was sad but, wow... dogs get very excited so easily!

Eat a piece of hard food YAY!!!!
Walk on the grass YAY!!!!
Jump on the couch... YAY!!!!

I wish I was like that. :o)

To guest5386. My little comment about not being European was meant only as a joke, don`t take me too seriously. Last time I checked Quebec was part of the North American Continent and not an island on it`s own, so I can see why it would get included with Canada. Aspergerly yours, Pedrocat xx

What about his mental health though? Sure its not doing his body harm falling asleep all the time apart from the occainsionl knock to the head, but he gets so excited because he doesnt know what is happening, what he`s doing or where he is most of the time! This dog must be very screwed up

Dont put him down.. That`s stupid.. If he was in pain constantly or was in serious danger from it, then maybe. But he`s perfectly fine when he`s calm, even when he does fall asleep it`s not like it`s all day.

Being really tired and struggling to stay awake is the most miserable feeling. This clip reminds me of how I felt this morning after staying up for nearly two days. Is Skeeter a grad student too?

GUEST5386- Alright, but then there shouldn`t be a separate choice for "american" and "canadian".. should just be north american.
Not that I expect that something will be done about it, I`m just sayin`.

Poor guy...I wanted to laugh but then again, I didn`t. Ah, but anyway, it got unerving every time his head hit the floor. It is probably depressing being his owners though.

Dippy dog needs depressants, not anti-depressants.

That is not an adaptive trait (... and they consider EATING too exciting to tolerate!) Natural selection at work, Mum & Dad! Don`t give him anti-depressants for mating purposes; it is not fair to the offspring, a non-adaptive trait that needs to be wiped-out!

It is kind of funny, but you can tell it is obviously having effect on him. And from getting excited? He always tried to fight it so much because, well why would you want to sleep when a baby is about to pet you. But the fact that he`s trying to fight it so much, it`s obviously bothering him, is the little twist that keeps me from saying It`s the funniest thing I ever saw...One the second funniest :D

Poor baby! :-( I hope they can cure that. The anti-depressent seem like it`d only make it worse. )-|

emmm pedrocat i get were ur coming from (literally) but seriously u r Europian.Britain, including Scotland is part of the EU.As is Northern Ireland where I am from.Im happy to be called Europian, quite proud of it in fact.Im not at all happy with being called British but I accept that I am.

Anyway...the vid.It was funny wen the wee guy was walking and falling asleep at the same time but it become pretty painfully to watch wen i realised how much he suffered from it.the poor wee thing

Poor dog >.< its head really hit the floor hard >.> and imagine having to take that dog out for a walk most be terribly long -_-;; I know you get attached to the dog... but whoa, so much work for a little puddle ... and .. yeah... I dont like puddle either...

Pedrocat, if IAB had to write down every single country in the world in the little scroll down menu, this will take time, they will post less video and everyone will be unhappy ^^
They cannot put a "others" either since... well.. that will be a bit weird and not informative at all. And trust me, depends on the country you from, its really make a difference in the comments ^^ So choose one of the country you think you are the more close of and stay with it ^^ I know its political, a bit like my quebecian friend who is insulted to have to choose "canada"... He is quebecer he say, not canadian *start to see again the huge conversation they had about politic* just accept it ^^ its ok ^^ world

"LOOK, IT`S KIBBLES N` BITZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz" This is just as bad as with the sheep. To be honest, this sort of things has been going on for millenia with male humans ever since we were primates. ;)

If it was suffering, it would never get excited, if it never got excited, it would never fall asleep. But since he gets excited, and then plops down and falls asleep, hes obviously NOT suffering.

Our cats sleep 22 hours a day. Is that narcolepsy or just laziness? I thought that was hilarious, so did Pedrocat Jnr.

Hey, it says I`m from Europe. I`m not from Europe. I live on an Island OFF the coast of Europe, it`s called Britain. The bit I live in is called Scotland and we want to be independent from the blood sucking leeches that are the `British` government. I`m as European as an American. At a push I`ll accept living in the UK, but not Europe. Get it fixed please www.iambored.com

Thankyou, Pedrocat.

I know someone who has that disorder, it`s kinda funny and it doesn`t really bother him. But seeing that just broke my heart, because an animal can`t have a doctor explain to them what`s going on. I hope he`s not frightened :-(

Why put it down? Narcoleptic people don`t get put down, do they? He seems happy enough when he`s awake, let him live! He`s hardly suffering. The vet said so.

I watched a video Psychology where They had two dogs (can`t remember the breed), that want to copulate. However, as soon as they get within a foot of each other... down they go. Somehow they still manage to breed. Maybe AI?

It was cute and everything and I hate to be a buzzkill, but that dog should totally be put down. There`s no reason to keep a dog like that alive. If it were a human it would have died in some accident by now and there`s no reason to let it keep suffering.

just watched a video about this in psychology, they had miniature pinschers who would get so excited about being given a treat that they`d fall asleep, then wake up and the treat would still be in their mouth then get all excited they have a treat and fall asleep again and again and again
