^ Thats a little bit different But anyways I do not need these kinds of disctractions getting out If i watch that movie again I might actually believe somehow that it works that way and fail another math test O_O I cant handle that @_@

On the long-division problem, Pa creates a 10 that wasn`t there before, and in the addition proof, ignores it. I`d be interested to hear what they had to say about what 5 x 5 equals... can`t both 5 x 5 AND 14 x 5 = 25, now can they!

"ok 14*5=70 not 25" "On the long-division problem, Pa creates a 10 that wasn`t there before, and in the addition proof, ignores it." ok everybody, quit trying to explain it! we know its wrong! get over it!

- 14 x 5 = 25 Acorrding to Ma and Pa Kettle.
If anyone is even remotly convinced by this, our education system has failed. :)

how about 5 and 35 will that work. lets see

5 | 35 = 1

5 | 30 = 6

So it is 16

Proof by multiplication

16

x5

--

30

+5

--

35

Now by adding.

16

16

16

16

16

6+6+6+6+6 = 30

1+1+1+1+1 = 5

So 35

Still works

pretty good.

Personally I love math but every math-related link I submit is rejected.

But anyways

I do not need these kinds of disctractions getting out

I cant handle that @_@

i think that business guy played Mr Munster in "The Munsters".

maybe he shud hav tried proof by subtraction:

25 - 14 = 23.2143 ...

E )

and to all the people who are confused...it`s a JOKE!!!!!!!!! Ma and Pa Kettle are hillbillies! that`s what makes it funny!

seriously..

i got this book from who knows where called mathemagic and its all like, 7 x 13 = 28! for the same reasons...

"On the long-division problem, Pa creates a 10 that wasn`t there before, and in the addition proof, ignores it."

ok everybody, quit trying to explain it! we know its wrong! get over it!

If you don`t like their explanations, why not just ignore them?

I liked it but I`m a nerd.

funny

I`M NOT EVEN THAT BAD!

i`ve problably seen about half of them, the rest have all been done away with
