"I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

Is this guy clinically retarded? And was that a christian religious song? And people wonder why christianity is getting "attacked."

By your logic, the worst examples are indications of something`s value? So we all deserve to die because Hitler was a murdering SOB? Or all dogs deserve to be put down because that Pitbull down the street bit somebody? Sure.

This dude`s harmless. Who cares what he does or believes. More power to him, I say.

It was something funny for the kids, nothing is wrong with this. Its pretty funny...that is an actual verse. Its not ridiculous either. The verse comes from Psalms 139:14 and it says I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. This verse is beautiful because it showed that God made us unique and with love, so much that he made us wonderfully and fearfully. The word fearfully here is the Hebrew word yare which means moral revere. So its not bad, it might seem childish to you but its just fun. God wants us to smile and enjoy life. Its no worse than the immature stuff on SNL (which i like to watch). WEll I have a kappa sigma fraternity test to study for and History 1020 in the morn. God Bless

I know, we`re all dying to be a sacrifice of praise, `cause all our days are planned and god exercises mysterious powers of genetic engineering once we have been put into the womb. Interesting. So ChristMarine, and you can PM me through YouThink if you wish, but wouldn`t god planning the pregnancy of every individual impede their free-will, since mate selections are usually made by choice (uninfluenced by god), and even worse are the ones that are not (god orchestrates rape or incest that results in pregnancy)? Can you just clear this one up for me? And good luck with your frat test, hope you aren`t put into any `sinful` positions at the hands of savage men!

Oh, and to be fair, this is an instant classic for me. "When I was made in Secret you saw me ebb and form..." So which is it, did he make you in secret with your mommy, or did your mommy make you in secret from your daddy? Still-born heaven. It`s where all the good babies go, before they`ve had a chance to be baptized (Catholic) or sin (protestant)! See, if we just kept ALL people in this level of ignorance for their whole lives, then everybody`d be going to Heaven, for they wouldn`t have known to ask for forgiveness, nor that they were sinning! God PLANTED that fruit of knowledge in there on Purpose, I KNOW it! Sadistic Bastard...

I understand what your saying suicism, and wonderfully yes. Look at your body structure makeup: 1)You have over 60,000 miles of blood vessels 2)One human brain generates more electrical impulses in a single day than all of the world`s telephones put together. THE TYANA TABLOID : 2 APRIL 2000 3)50,000 of the cells in your body will die and be replaced with :new cells, all while you have been reading this sentence! So I would say thats wonderful; of course there are diseases and such that are not of God. God said that he sent His Son Jesus to die for us and by His wounds we were healed. And as for the rape thing...of course this is terrible. But God is omniscient and he knew it would happen, therefore having a plan for that child. ANd of course the only way you can get to heaven is by asking Jesus into your heart. What about the babies you ask? Well they are not held accountable, thus joining Christ in heaven for eternity. God Bless, and I lost 7 pledge bro`s last night :(

The only thing that sends a person to hell are their sins. And The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that All have sinned and fell short of the glory of God. However, Romans 5:8 says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (a perfect sacrifice), so that in Romans 6:23 it says For the wages of sin is DEATH (spiritual death, or eternal separation from God), but the Gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And the way you accept God`s gift is illustrated in Romans 10:9 which says, "That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and if you believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." So religion doesn`t get you into heaven, JEsus does. So being catholic doesn`t send you to hell. Some Catholics will go to heaven, some hell. This is the same for those who claim to be Christians, unfortunately not all are. God said he created hell for Satan and his angels, not us, but he gave loved us so much he gave us a free will t

....free will to choose between God and the world. The Bible says when we go to hell, we go as intruders, but its so easy to avoid hell. I am not trying to argue with anyone, because I can`t change your mind, only a yearning to know and the draw of the Holy Spirit will reveal this. Its not creepy, weird fanatacism...its the Truth. I don`t walk around acting like I am in a cult. I am a freshman in college, in a fraternity....only reason Im saying this is I usually get a Personal Message saying that I am a Jesus Freak. Well its true :) God Bless, and I hope I answered your question.

so wait, lemme see if i got this straight? if you have sex and get preggers, it has nothing to do with God, cause you chose it, He had nothing to do with it, but if you get raped and you get preggers, its His fault?

that doesnt make much sense. he gave people a free will to rape people, or to molest their little sister. he also gave us free will to fucckwhoever or to make love to whoever.it not Gods fault that your daddy liked to give it to you in the ass. and its not Christmarine`s fault that you liked it.

Hey Christmarine, let me ask you a question. I`ll take you up on the other issue through our private message-boards, but I`d like to ask you this in full view of the forum because it`s a very interesting question that you`ve probably never thought of before. You say all fall short of the glory of god, because god is without sin. But is that because he`s automatic, and in fact devoid of choice? For it seems there is really no choice in being a god: the universe needed you, your attributes and characteristics are non-negotiable, and in fact as you like to point out god is omniscient, meaning he knows EVERYTHING. So if you knew everything, how could you make a choice? For you`d know both outcomes before you made the choice, to an INFINITE degree, and therefore be without the uncertainty REQUIRED in making a choice; for making a choice means on some level you don`t know the outcome, otherwise it wouldn`t be a choice; merely execution of protocol, like that of a computer program.

o ultimately, my point is that if this is true, then what right does a being INCAPABLE of making mistakes have in judging one who HE HIMSELF endowed with the diminished faculties necessary in facilitating this propensity for mistakes, even inevitability; especially when this `perfect` being has no idea how he would behave under similar circumstances, unless he diminished his OWN faculties to the point of being capable in making a mistake, and thus being vulnerable to sin? You see, the original sin was CHOICE, which I think is the holiest of ALL faculties.

I am not weak minded and it doesn`t bother me that your mad at me for no reason. Your a bit defensive on the matter to act in the manner you did. WEll I`ve actually studied the Bible and I don`t take peoples words for things. I think its harder not to believe in God. And Im not debating whether or not the song was creepy or not, its not important. However; you say that I am retarded and blind led sheep. The Bible is full of prophecies that have became true, not to mention the historical, botanical, cultural, grammatical and every other -al that has never been proven wrong; even by secular historians. Here is only one small example of the divine accuracy of God`s Word. Psalms 22 a Messianic prophetic psalm which says Jesus`s hands and feet will be pierced, speaking obviously about crucifixion. This is a "historical" document that was written around 1050 B.C by King David. Well is it not ironic that crucifixion was not even been invented until 600 B.C. Divine or extreme chance?

And I honestly appreciate Suicism the courtesy and respect you show me. I am not pointing fingers at anyone and I honestly am hoping every one stays open minded, thats all. Anyways Suicism, thats a great question. And I guess this could go back to the same type of philisophical question which says God can`t be omnipotent because he can`t fail. However, to me this only affirms his omnipotence. And I agree with you to an extent about knowing both decisions. But God doesn`t always look in the future to what we do. For example, he repented when he made man during the time of NOah because of the wickedness of the people. Of course, he could have known this if he had wanted to. So in away he does make know the right choice to make. Although, he didn`t have to follow the protocol when it came to sending His Son Jesus to die for a people who does not always love Him. So I agree, but I would much rather serve a God who is all powerful and all knowing, rather than others. Thx for your time buddy

You mention the Jews there, and one thing I always find convincing is why Yahweh did not come down to confirm to them that this Jesus was their Messiah, especially considering the prophecy of King David you cite! God should have come down himself and made it clear, because according to the old Jewish myths that was always they way he communicated with them: burning bush with Moses, Ten Commandments, visions of specification for Noah`s Ark, and even visions later by Peter, wherein he describes the end times. But christ, the messiah, WHOEVER he was going to be, was suppossed to replace this divine link between the Jews and Yahweh, and make obsolete their need for animal sacrifice as well, for he was to take their place as a "sacrificial lamb" of God. But why not tell the Jews this directly? Why should they believe this rebel, troublemaker, one of many proclaiming themselves to be "messiah" at the time? It wasn`t really fair for God to jerk them around like this:

"one day, you`re `chosen;` and you know this, because I have instructed you on it Personally, and many of your great prophets like Moses seem to believe it; and the next day, I`m sending down my son, who you don`t know and WON`T know, and many of you will encourage his execution, but I`m not gonna tell you all this; instead, I`m just gonna stop talking to you and let you sort it all out. He is now the saviour, and you`re no longer chosen, but you`re just going to have to take HIS word for it. I`m gonna take a nap `till the apocolypse." You know, something like that doesn`t seem too far from the truth. It puts these visions of "God" that Moses and others recieved really in a position of arbitrary interpretation, just like everything else. When do you know it`s god, or not? People tend to like precedent. Jesus suppossedly didn`t have precedent, and he acted on his own visions anyway.

    People happened to believe him. Not all people, about 1/3 of the World at this point (interestingly enough, the same ratio of angels that suppossedly fell from Heaven!); how do you know god is NOT talking to you, as he talked to others? They didn`t know, they just chose to believe what they felt prudent, usually when they could relate it to something ELSE that had precedent, and recorded it in such an authoritative way that people began to think they were seeing a pattern. However, if god communicated with the Jews directly up to that point ONLY, because they were his chosen people, then why not let them know who the Messiah was going to be? And by the way, about our last philosophical question (posted publicly), for one to have all knowledge available to them, when knowledge is infinite (eternal life perpetuates it), they must be experiencing it all at once; for finding one solitary piece of info out of an infinity of data, could hypothetically take forever;

there would be no reference-point. All knowledge would have to be possessed simultaneously. And unless you`re saying that God practices ignorance on himself, I believe those stories about him REPENTING for something he knew he was going to do would be not only impossible for such a god, but are more reminiscent of a belief-system which has been flailing from the time of it`s inception to explain the universe, and resorts to any arbitrary or fleeting definition of god for the time being to do so, suit the needs of the public, and move-on. Also, another little theological technicality for you to chew on; if Jews were the chosen people before Christ offered salvation to all, then effectively all who accept god become the chosen ones. So shouldn`t Yahweh now be talking to all CHRISTIANS the way he once communicated with the Jews?

The prophets in Isaiah, Jerehemiah, Amos, Joel, etc. are full of prophecies of Christ. His birthplace, his crucifixtion, his miracles, were all recorded. However, you don`t even need all of those prophecies for the people to know. It would be pretty evident when he healed the sick, opened blinded eyes, raised the dead, walked on water, fed the 5,000, and when God rose from the dead. He loves us, and the whole Basis of Christianity is not to point fingers, but to show love. I John says God is love, and perfect love casteth aside fear. Jesus was nothing but love and he only wants love in return. It doesn`t require works, or finances, or baptism, or whatever certain others think. God Bless you man. And no man has seen God`s face...Moses saw his backside, anyways, He sent his son a sacrifice for us to choose. We don`t have to, but it will all be cleared up after our death. Just ask your self man, what if?

As much as I`d rather stay out of this debate, I feel this must be said: ChristMarine stated "I think it`s harder not to believe in God." This is a roundabout way of saying "I think it`s easier to believe in God," which is precisely why secular-types tend to look down thier noses at the devout. In the minds of the secular, the devout are taking the easy way out by just letting God handle everything, instead of thinking about other ways the universe could work.

And if there seems to be a hostility towards Christians in particular, this is probably because some terrible things have been said in the name of Christ, and those things are not easily forgotten. Despite the probability that only a fraction of a fraction of all Christians actually believe those things. I won`t list any examples because I`m sure everyone can think of thier own.

But I (and others) personally feel the evidence does NOT point towards a Creator. We feel that, given the laws of physics (as humanity knows them, anyway), any evidence pointing towards a Creator is flimsy, at best. Since there is no record of the creation of the universe (the Bible and other holy books don`t count since they were written long afterward), literally everything is just theory.

I just deleted several posts I`ve made in this thread. ChristMarine, I`ve studied philosophy for approximately seven years. I can offer you a dozen resources on biblical inaccuracies, fallacies, scientific impossibilities, contradictions and immoral suggestions.

I attacked you because your three credentials you`ve presented include the military, christianity and fraternity. I can`t even take you seriously. Open minded my ass.

I`ll leave it at this: we disagree.

R U Kidding and Suicism, much love on excellent commentary.

The USMC is not a sin, when the 10 Commandments says thou shall not kill, its talking about murder, not killing to ensure the freedom of others. And I am a Christian because the Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. So don`t challenge me and my credentials, your the one thats drunk and having to work in the morning. Secondly I am 18 years old and I still know more about this than you, all you can do is offer criticism. Oh of course there are scientific impossibilities with a supernatural creator. I know its scientifically impossible for a man to rise from the dead, but it wasn`t a man, it was God the Son, and it happened. Contradictions no, if you read and look at the greek and hebrew and don`t take it out of context like many ignorant people do, then you will also see that this is not right. el better. I don`t understand why you have to act so hateful when I was being kind. The size, position and angle of the earth is a scientific phenomenon to see, A few degrees closer to the sun and we`d disintegrate, a few degrees further and we`d freeze. The axis of the earth is tilted at a perfect 23 degree angle, and it`s no mistake that it is. This allows equal global distribution to the rays of the sun making it possible for the food chain to exist. Or take for example the combination of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere that we breathe. It just happens to be the exact mix that life needs to prosper, it doesn`t happen on any other planet that way. You see, the Bible says the invisible things of God are clearly seen through His creation, to believe this is not hard. If there is a design, there is a designer. If there is a plan, there`s a planner... and if there`s a miracle, there is a God.

It simply boggles the mind to think that the stars will rotate with such exact precision that it`s true. That the atomic clock with an error factor of less than three seconds per millenium is set by the way they move. Though they silently orbit, the sun, the stars are like celestial evangelists above, who circle the earth every 24 hours, shouting in every language that THERE IS A GOD!Atheism is the wedge under the foundation of our faith trying to topple our relationship with Christ. there is no God, he rejects the truth God painted on the canvas of the night. Atheism has never created an artistic masterpiece, never healed a fatal disease or calmed a fear. Atheism has still never given answers to our existence,
It`s God who sits on the circle of the earth of Calvary to save our souls from hell and the grave. It`s God who creates, God who delivers, God who heals and God who is worthy of a thunderous ovation of praise!

ChristMarine, your digging yourself a whole. Particular concerning the "Big Ol` Cosmic Blast." It is not a statistical impossibility. When you start studying astronomical phenomenons such as black holes, black, brown, and white dwarf stars, as well as other inquisitive astronoical events, it will open your eyes on the statistical POSSIBILITY of a "Big Ol`Cosmic Blast." Now, with that said. I am a Christian, not a devout Christian, but still a man of faith. I commend you for you strong mural views, as well as Suicism, Home Brew, and R_U_Kidding for theirs. Its always intriguing to see others` points of views. When you start to study some of natures phenomenons, it can do one of two things, make you question your faith, or solidify your scientific position on the creation of us, this Earth, and our heavens. Personally, I am just thankful to be here....and for Crown.....more Crown than anything. Ooh, and women, thankful for women. Okay, so women, crown, and family/frie

As for Mr. Fox and Lil Markie, yeah, it is lame and a bit creepy. Coming up baptist, I had to witness similar youth programs like that of Lil Markie. Although we may think its lame, I, as a father, would rather my son watch programs such as that of Mr. Fox than watch programs of men dressed in tights and helmets kicking one another. Do I force him to watch these types of programs, no. I do limit his time with other programs such as Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the simple reason that I dont want him to run up to me and try one of those kicks on me and having an impact on whether or not he will be able to have a brother or sister.

OOH, and that last sentence on the previous post was supposed to be Women, crown, and family/friends.....lol

The Big Bang theory proposes the idea that all matter and energy was at on time densely concentrated at a single point in the universe and measured approximately the size of an electron (Taylor, 1995). Evolutionists teach that for some unknown reason this concentrated mass of material exploded producing the first organization of particles. This process supposedly progressed over a period of billions of years, during which time a single-celled organism developed into complex life forms.
Several significant problems with the Big Bang theory immediately come to mind:
    I. Where did all the material present in the Big Bang come from?
    2. Why did the material suddenly explode?
    3. Can an explosion bring about order?
Evolutionary scientists have left the answer to the first two of these questions as simply "UNKNOWN/` However, because of scientific experiment, the third question can be answered with an emphatic "NO."

It is an observable fact that the addition of certain types of energy, such as heat, always bring about disorder rather than structure. The evolutionary theory ignores this fact with the supposition of the Big Bang. By assigning approximately 12 to 15 billion years to the formation of the universe, the evolutionary theory masks the fact that the addition of chaotic energy always results in chaos. This time scale is based solely on the assumption that given enough time and a "steady addition of energy, it is possible for order to come about". However, even with the addition of billions of years, the evolutionary theory continues to contradict the observable natural laws of nature.

The second law of thermodynamics holds that "all natural systems degenerate when left to themselves". This means that without interceding factors, chemical compounds ultimately break apart into simpler materials, rather than increasing in complexity...

Evolutionary scientists are clearly aware of the of this natural law, yet continue to maintain that by adding extreme amounts of time and energy to a single-celled organism, the formation of life occurred in opposition to the natural laws of the universe. The question now raised considers whether the simple addition of energy and time is enough to bring about life.

Take under consideration an organism in decay. A once living organism, such as a cell, will possess all the materials necessary for life even after it has died. Based on the theory of evolution, it would stand to reason that an organism could be regenerated after death by simply adding sufficient amounts of energy; but, this is not the case. Rather, the "internal organization decreases" with the addition of energy. In fact, increasing energy levels speed up the decomposition process, explicitly contradicting the evolutionary train of thought.

It is clear to see that the Big Bang theory simply does not work. Even if evolutionists were able to answer questions concerning the origin of the Big Bang, they could not possibly dispute the very laws of nature that can be observed today.

LOL, Thanks for editing my comment. I did try to resubmit the editorial change from "whole" to "hole" but apparently to no success.

As for my statement earlier, the "Big Bang Theory" is just that, theory. As for myself, a business owner with just a Bachelor`s Degree in Marketing, I can not go as in depth or detail as say, a physicist, or on this case, an English major. I will say that it seems to me that with the second law of thermodynamics applied, there definitely must have been an interceding factor that had initiated the creation some 15 billion years ago. Evidence of galaxies moving rapidly in outward directions (or outward from a point) along with the observations of low levels of microwaves throughout space has helped with supporting the argument of the Big Bang Theory. As for myself, I am skeptical, but leave an open mind when it comes to creation. After all, what could have been that interceding factor?

The "hole" which I was discussing, however, is the fact that there is there are many factors that can either support/oppose the Big Bang Theory. I am gonna leave that debate to the physicists and astronomist. As for myself, just gonna sit back here at my desk and enjoy my life with my family and friends.

Hey Christ Marine, you never responded to our PM discussion, and you are horribly misguided in your indictments of evolution/big bang theory. But I will not go into that here unless I have to. One question I WOULD like you to answer, however, is the one I left at the very end of the last page. Who has proven our universe to be a statistical impossibility, much less our galaxy? And by the way, the Sun and stars don`t REVOLVE around the Earth. That`s was the Church`s official position during Galileo`s day, and they persecuted him to keep his dissident (correct) opinion out of the public consciousness.

Good. I hope you can answer my question about statistics soon, too. Since you can`t measure the statistical likeliness of a God-figure creating something exactly the way it is under whatever arbitrary conditions apply, you can`t evaluate this possibility against that derived by science. Just inform me of who proved our Universe, and specifically this galaxy, is statistically impossible.

The statistical chances is 10 to 92 power. Since the universe has 10 to 84 power, sub-atomic particles in the universe. So 10 to 92 power, is the amount of particles in 100,000 galaxies. So it can be said the chances is taking a sub-atomic particle and putting it in the one of the 100,000 galaxies and picking it out randomly...thats impossible. There are many references to this number.
