Is anyone else having problems? I have used firefox for a long time now, never had a problem. I installed this version a few weeks ago and it has froze on my SO many times. Are they doing that just so I can use their "Restore Session" to try it out? I`ve never had any complaints before but it`s getting really annoying every time I got to view a video I freezes when I`m done and want to go "back"

You might try the extension Mozex.

Why should you use firefox? because Microsoft is quite utterly [insert nasty word here].! and When you download it, I didn`t loose any of my bookmarks. And the Ad Block add on is better than the music on now I have changed my mind.
Firefox for me has always been quicker than IE. I use a laptop and I get on with the tab system fine.
All Smiles.

What`s so good about Firefox? I have IE6 and I have never had any problems with it, I don`t get any pop-ups...ever, and it`s not slow at all for me. So...why should I switch to Firefox? And just so you know, I`m not trying to give it poo, I seriously want to know what`s so much better about Firefox. The only way I`d get it is if you could turn the tab feature off because that just pisses me off. I hate tabbed web pages, I use a laptop and I depend on using the Alt+Tab feature on Windows so that I don`t have to move my hands from the keyboard at all. I don`t know, unless somebody can give me a real reason, I don`t see why I should bother switching.

Flarg, maybe you`re thinking of the Beta version which was available a while ago?

Not much of a difference to Opera... except it`s slower.

Awesome, just what I needed. IE was giving me a barrel full `o poo. So damn slow and full of pop-ups. Firefox`s Spell checker is great, and the browser is very fast. I cannot even fathom how IE even has the slightest advantage other than some older sites were designed for IE...

Using it now. I like it so far but I just downloaded it so I`m still testing it. Long live Firefox.

:-/ I don`t like the fact that each tab has a close button. I relied on the one near the right on the old version. But I guess that`s just being picky.

great browser. nothing groundbreaking from 1 to 2, but an update is always welcome. it still beats out IE7... heck, FF1 beat IE7, and that`s saying a lot.

ha!

Firefox 2 is ok, but i dont think its very good without the "...shift" themes.
still, the guy who did them says he`s updatin` `em,
so long live firefox 2.0!

I`m loving it! I downloaded it this morning, when I first saw it. Firefox is thousands of times better than Internet Explorer, in my book. Not only is it prettier, but I get less pop-ups and it`s faster!

Firefox 2.0 is good, as usual.

I wish the spell check function would use multiple dictionaries at the same time, so I could type things like hola and au revoir and ghesundheit, freely.
Cuz I like to do that. All day and all night.

did they fix the speed issue...

thats why opera was always better in my book.

... and then I calmed down, went to their website, and they told me how to fix it. All is well in the world.

omg how annoying. like i care that there`s misspellings on a webpage I don`t even run. worst idea ever. it also takes like 4000x longer than IE to start up, and im on a pretty fast pc right now. *uninstalls*

IAmTheMoose (Which is also spelled wrong!), the only reason that firefox is spelled wrong is because it isn`t a word. However, Firefox is the company name therefore that is correct. And "yay" and "hmm" aren`t words, they`re just sounds. If you care that much just right click and add to dictionary...
