Can you imagine the patience it took to move all those Legos around to make this animation?

That was really kick ass! Hubby couldn`t tell it was legos and not a tv board.

I say the animation is fake. Where are they getting all those single-post Lego blocks with perfect matching colors? Why doesn`t the board, camera or lighting shift, even a little, if they spent all day pulling up blocks and setting them back down? This was a computer animation.

pissbricks and legot- lmao!!!!

it`s just a cultural difference. according to LEGO, neither of them is right.

As for the "animation" .... it was pretty pointless. I go crazy just thinking about dedicating so much time to doing something that, in the end, comes out that doesn`t even look very cool.

"Hey Joe, pass me some pissbricks/leggot!"

that`s still hilarious

To those who say they don`t care and everyone needs to shut up about the "lego" vs "legos" debate, guess what you care enough to post hypocrite.

You`re right Big Boney they asked they be called "LEGO bricks or toys" (They never said call it "lego" get over it.)However using the brand name of a company and product doesn`t suffice as a pluralism of the singular term.
"May I have some lego" vs. "May I have some legos"
the second one is by far more correct.
Now while "legos" for the plural term is my own person preference grammaticly it sounds better.
If you disagree, get over it.

i agree with this "xx75vulcan" fellow in that it looks really fake. unless he like cut a rectangle out of his floor to put the blocks in, it should have been pretty shaky. BTW up in canada we call lego blocks vaginas, EX: Father: "gee timmy look at all those vaginas." Son: "dad?, can i get some vaginas for christmas?"

LEGO is a contraction of the danish for "play well" - "LEg GOdt"

I am very grammar picky. I think you will find the correct term is indeed LEGO bricks, but Lego (without an S) suffices.
AWESOME clip though :D

From what I can see, Americans tend to say "Legos" and the British and Australians say "Lego".

I don`t mind either, but I recall LEGO themselves releasing some statement that their product is to be referred to as "Lego" or "Lego Bricks" but not "Legos".

what you all fail to realise is that a single piece of lego is no called a Lego. Itsa called a piece of lego, as in, a piece of a whole or gourp. there is no one word singular for a piece of Lego. It is a PIECE of Lego, not a brick, as they are not all bricks. There are little men too.

hmm...somehow it looks fake. I`m not sure how, but notice how none of the edge of the lego board moves even a slight hair.

You`d think as much moving around as one would have to do to remake the lego board that many times, the whole image would shift slightly?

debating the pluralism has nothing to do with anal tendencies turkey. But since it`s not a proper term in any language then it`s a lot like your commenting "that was interesting, fake or not." It`s pointless and really doesn`t matter your opinion on it. So you want to leave your opinion about the video, then shut up and let people leave their opinion about something a little more interesting then what you think about the video.

You people argue about really inane things. Yes, I prefer that people use proper grammar and spelling, but to argue about something like whether it`s Lego, Legos, or LEGO isn`t really going to prove anything other than how anal you can really be.

That was interesting, fake or not.

ibigfire was right in saying the company prefered them to be called "lego bricks and toys." So LEGOs would be my own preferable shortened version of the proper phrasing, as described by LEGO.

But the proper plural form of it as described by definition is "Legot." Chew on that one

I agree with duffytoler. It looks fake, because the wood floor in the background looks too perfect, and it doesn`t look like it is resting on the floor, especially in the top corners.

Also, there is a shine on the bottom right that looks sort of fake.

You don`t call it "fake" if it`s not trying to be real. If you watch Bugs Bunny blowing into his thumb, inflating his hand, and floating in midair, you don`t scream "LOLZ0RZ THATS NOT A REAL RABBIT!" because it`s not supposed to be real; it`s a cartoon. Similarly, this is a cute CG animation; calling it fake is like calling Bugs Bunny fake. i.e., "no $#!+, Sherlock."

Well, first of all, very cool video, fake or not. Second, and more importantly, this whole grammar argument is because the company itself has said, "please use the word LEGO" yaddah, yaddah, copyright, yaddah. As far as I`m concerned, no company is going to tell me what correct grammar is. So, because it`s how I grew up, I`m going to say that I grew up playing with legos. And I don`t give a shee-ite what anyone else thinks about that. :-P

But it`s strange that people feel so unbelievably irritated by grammar mistakes. Communicating is a way to tell our thoughts to other people. And everyone does get their point anyway, right? :)

Is it just me, or do people who can`t spell or talk properly have a huge chip on their shoulder? As soon as anyone mentions correct spelling or grammer, they go crazy. `Wot r u a english teacher or [email protected]`. Those people should be shot.
Anyway, the thing itself was good though, whether it was fake or not.

Wow. That would`ve taken a long time.
---
The word `LEGO`, when used as a noun, should only refer to the company that makes the product. Otherwise `LEGO` is supposed to be used as an adjective. Thus, when referring to the pieces, neither `lego` nor `legos` is correct... rather one should say: `LEGO bricks` or `LEGO pieces` or whatever (using LEGO as an adjective -- and one should really capitalize all of the letters, and put the little `circle-R` symbol after it (®)). This is all a matter of protecting the trademark of `LEGO` for the company (using it otherwise degenerates the strength of the trademark). This is not to say that I use the word correctly 100% of the time... but that`s the answer to the question.
