Submitted by: buddy 11 years ago in Sports

They always put a woman down on the field and let the male reporters stay in the safety of the booth.

If she was in the kitchen, this would have never happened.

This is one of the greatest things that I have ever seen! Well, not really, but I was extremely amused. The people leaving comments who forget that there are other languages in this world besides English are annoying, though...

OMG! And the guy was saying how she was at the right time with the camera dude. I feel bad for Maria Martinez.
Just to make this clear it`s not Mexican!!!!!!
It`s in Spain I can tell by her accent.

Ouch... what you dont understand is that...

The reporter is speaking Spanish, which means that the game by Central or Spanish teams... And if the players dont play up to the mobs standards... all poo hits the fan.

But, yea he could have taken a second to see if the reporter was ok and apologised.

Ah, the love, brotherhood and compassion about these folks speaking Spanish makes me so happy to be coming home soon after three years in Europe. Not. :-( What a bunch of backwards-ass pricks we can be. How was that for gross generalization?

woulda been funny, except for all that mexican jabbering. spanish is the most annoying fork-in-the-ear crap. i live in california and we get "spanglish" people who speak spanish dont know what theyre saying and people who speak english dont know either.

Spanish has a higher VOT (voice onset time) than English, meaning they almost always have to speak more syllables to get the same point across. That`s why they speak at a faster pace, to make up for their high VOT.

Actually, it seems that you never see anything but women commentators on the sideline during American football games and I have a huge problem with that. If you have never donned a set of shoulder pads, you should not be a football commentator.

Sexist? No! I think they can all cook if given enough time and training!

And of course, if they always shut a WOMAN away in the safety of the booth, and let the men get all the action, you`d probably be complaining about feminine marginalization.
