Hmmm... I`d have to say IE7 > or = FF (I didn`t keep it on my computer that long, it took too much memory) > other IEs.

Wait... How did this go from a discussion about CTRL+C to a browser war, anyway?

Let`s try again...

Go to that site. It PROVES that IE > FF.

IE > FF. And this site proves it.

Go to the above site to learn why IE > FF. And yes, I DO realize that the site creator misspelled "obsolete"...

Whoa! That is freaky. I changed my setting. I don`t put anything incriminating on my clipboard either, but, if I cut and past some accounting info or something like that, like say I was at my bank site or something, I don`t want that just randomly available without me knowing. Easy security fix, though. :-)

"well, people stupid enough not to have a firewall and anti-virus shouldn`t have computers. if anybody tried to access anything on my old computer my firewall would go insane and crash the comp (I advise people to kill windows 98) but new computer just warns you and makes annoying dings. probably has nothing to do with the link...but nevermind :D"

uh, a firewall is for port access management, not script management

At least it shows you how to avoid this happening.

Does it work with right-click?

^Probably an issue w/wmv file which just doesn`t work as well as it does on a windows designed browser and even media player. I`ve noticed that I have to play wmv files in windows media player or else they play glitchy. I use winamp for everything else.

And yes, pea_ooter. IE 7 beta is FREE. (As is all of the other software I use.)

When I tried it out with my IE 7 Beta, it asked me if I wanted to let the website see my clipboard. But I still use mainly opera and firefox.
no, you mean spyware/adware... the only way to get a virus on your computer is to acctually install it, or have someone else manually do it. of course, a virus can be easily hidden in most downloaded files, thats what a virus scan is for.
From wikipedia:
"A computer virus is a self-replicating computer program written to alter the way a computer operates, without the permission or knowledge of the user. Though the term is commonly used to refer to a range of malware, a true virus must replicate itself, and must execute itself."
You don`t install viruses, they do it themselves =/

"or get a mac and never have to deal with these problems."
thats just like saying "never leave your parents house so you dont have to worry about homelesness."
sure, its safer, but that doesnt mean its better. one is safer, but as long as you know what youre doing it shouldnt be much of a problem, and youll have alot more versatility.

and firefox uses less memory, and keeps down on clutter by having tabbed browsing. but if you want a better experience than firefox, get opera. opera is a much better browsing experience.

or get a mac and never have to deal with these problems.

I don`t know why anyone would still be using IE.

Can I ask why? I mean appart from this clipboard thing, why is firefox better than I.E? Not trying to argue that I.E is better, its just Ive never used firefox, if it is better then I will start using it instead of IE
