Also, it was smart of him not to run away. Whenever I see someone running from the cops on TV, whether it`s a TV show or real live footage, I think, idiots. I think the fact that he didn`t run is half of what convinced the cop.

I wonder what happened to the cop?

I have to admit the guy is a better actor than me. I`m a terrible liar.

OMFG 10 minutes is waaaaaaaay to long. And yes i noticed the name change. But how did he get the gatorade bottle or what ever it was? Did he pick up some trash bottle by the side of the road?. For being so smart i wonder why he`s in jail.

Let`s just hope that he`s leared his lesson after nearly 20 years in the pen. I hope he takes this lucky break of his and decides to be nice to everybody from now on.

Good for you, Jimmy! May you be the next "Jean Valjean" of our times.

I don`t remember who is was, but I agree with the person that noticed the cop catch the name slip-up and reach for his gun...he hesitates for a minute and then decides that the guy is making a joke. And Jesus, some of you people take this stuff way too seriously.

Aleah, he didn`t follow him because in his mind that `jogger` might not have been the real guy, and if he followed him he might miss the real guy.

I bet that he beat up the children on the tracks and took their glasses. thats what I woulda done. I blame the cop tho, if this cop were anything like the cop on the beaten reporter post, he woulda been caught. ON THE GROUND!!! NOW!!!

Um, first, its horrible that a convicted murderer who happens to be highly skilled in martial arts and survival skills got away. And if any of you guys actually READ the links posted earlier on this story, you would know that he has not been caught yet. This is his 3rd escape from prison, and I hope it will be his last. As far as the cop being dumb, yeah, he was, a little, but I`m from Phoenix, Arizona, and it gets hotter than 114 here, and it sure does slow a person`s brain down... Although the cop should have known that NOBODY should jog in that kind of heat: its deadly. But I don`t blame the cop. The entire description did not fit McNair (the convict`s real name). However, I DO blame the cop for when he said, "Nah, if you were the escapee, you`d ahve run by now. I know, and you know that." Apparently not. In fact McNair was highly skilled in escaping, even if the cop didn`t know that. And the cop would have had every right to haul the guy in for fingerprinting... But too l

man i thinhk that guy did a great job. if i hadnt known he was a criminal in the first place, i wouldnt have caught him. and yeah jimmy is a nickname for robert. and just cus someone lives in the south (or southwest) doesnt mean theyre hicks or anything, cause i live in New Mexico (right between texas and arizona for all you east coasterners out there) and i probably wouldnt have caught him... i jus lost my train of thought... well anyways,

He said he was from Dallas, TX. So he was probably thinking of Jimmy Johnson (former head coach of Dallas Cowboys) and Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys owner) whem he came up with the name "Jimmy Jones". That`s my theory.

I was expecting this guy to get caught, but he got away from the cop? I did notice the name-change halfway through, but it was similar enough to the first name given to not be noticed. I think the cop was being too casual with the guy, but then again, do you want to be a prick to some random jogger?

That dude can act, though. I`m actually impressed. Most people lose their cool and slip up bigtime.

By the way, why would you be glad that a murderer got away? Many murderers are skilled in something they do. Jeffrey Dahmer was a charm artist. No one knows for sure who killed Kennedy. Just because these people are good at something, and they use it to a negative potential, it does not mean they `deserve` to get away. Some of us have potential but we haven`t tapped into it yet. Does that mean we deserve a bad life? No.

I don`t know. Some of you, well..most of you are nothing but pure idiots.

I wasn`t convinced. I really wasn`t, because every time I try to lie, I use the same tactics...haha. I guess it takes one to know one. I didn`t like all the arm movement, the dilly-dallying of directions and his `home` whereabouts. It was all too stupid. Seriously.

Why hasn`t anyone suggested that maybe he got him further down the road? Maybe he wanted to follow him a little bit more to see if his hotel story was matching up? I know I wouldn`t do that by myself and if the guy ran, that cop would never be able to keep up anyways. Letting him go gives him a false sense of security so they can get him later. Duh.

It`s weired, I`m actually happy he got away. It`s like I was saying "come on...let the cop believe him...". I can`t believe the cop didn`t memorize his name. And what kind of name is "Jimmy Jones"? You gotta remember your fake name dude.

i sat through all of that.
that guy messed up a few times, stumbled, but the cop WAS slightly slow on that.
but other than that, he`s the next brad pitt.
jimmy jones in PRISON BREAK..
heh.
i liked how he kinda stuck around at the end and made it seem legit instead of getting out asap.

Wow, you guys are way too hard on the cop. The only reason you caught the slips the escapee made was because you were looking for them. You already know who he is. And why would he catch a name change? The only reason he would ask for the guys name again is if he didn`t catch it to begin with.

“McNair should be considered armed and dangerous,” said U.S. Marshal William Whittington of the Western District of Louisiana. “He is a martial arts expert with a history of violence and should not be approached.”

the cop may have gotten his ass whooped if he tried to arrest him
