these were not such great examples. but not all abstract art is crap. and don`t get abstract mixed with non-objectional. abstract is representing something in an unreal way, and a non-objectional is a pure theory-based composition.

I think the reason that most people don`t like modern art(myself included) is that literally ANYONE could do it (as shown in this link) but just because certain people do it they get paid millions of dollars. I`ll admit it, I`m jealous of the no-talent hacks like Pollock who just throw paint on a canvas and call it art.

Ah I recognised the Pollock One. I like modern art. It`s really quite different that normal art.

YOu may call it junk but I call it different.

Only problem with modern art is that sometimes you do say

" WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!"

I like modern art...I didn`t think the professional pictures looked like something any old preschooler could do. That preschooler is talented (yes, I`m restating the obvious).

Yeah modern art is plain crap, I mean last year in my art class I couldn`t be bothered finishing a art piece so I made up some crap about how not finishing it was a reflection on society and it`s values blah blah blah, got an A for it, that was one stupid art teacher.

The preschooler`s art i would definitely buy and hang in like an all white room.
But the painting would be long.
AWESOME. :]

I got 4 out of 6. That green painting by the preschooler is so cool. The elephants pics were easy because they both had a black paw print at the corner of the page

I happen to like modern art, but I`m gonna have to agree that the last one was the best. If I was that kid`s dad I`d hang his stuff all over the house, not just on the fridge. It looks nice.

I never understand those kinds of art. Seriously, anybody can scribble some garbage down and make up some bullpoo story/crazy descriptions and then it`s worth a lot?

That preschoolers has some serious talent. So do the elephants. I mean, come on, they paint with their noses!

I like modern art and I think it looks cool, but it should not be called art, and the people who make it should not be called artists.

I got the last 3 wrong. I thought the third to last one was drawn by a preschooler and the last two by famous artists.

Female 109
well that was easy... regardless of how it may seem at a glance there is a difference between the paintings done by the kid, elephant, and artists.

eh, if someone wants to spend thousands on art, and they have thousands, I say more power to `em! Me, I buy a print in a plastic frame from Wal-Mart and I`m happy. :-)

YEah, abstract art is so retarded. A tap left running? Thats art? Three circles of a page? And people look at it and say "Wow, that`s inspired". The two year olds at the nursary down the road do the same thing. Hell, I would do the saemt hing, but I have better things to do with my time.

I`ve seen the elephant on tv before but this preschooler kicks ass.....just wait till someone tries to teach him the "right" techniques and such when he gets to art class. "No,no,no that`s ALL wrong!! Here let me show you how to do it."
Then he`ll suck like the rest of them....
People should take lessons from talented people like this and not try to influence what comes naturally.>-(

I HATE modern art. If I scribbled some random lines on a canvas it would be worthless, but if an established artist were to do it it would sell for a small fortune. It isn`t art!!

The elephant was so much better than the artists (if you had no hands you`d have trouble painting)

Pure talent!

`Just goes to show that a lot of "abstract" art is simply BS.`

Quoted for truth. That stuff is garbage and only morons pay for it.

The green preschooler`s painting is definitely the best, but I could tell the drips from the other ones. And the elephant`a brushstrokes are unmistakable. But this goes to show you that this kind of art can be done by a preschooler.

I have seen Kamala the Elephant`s work on a documentary... the elephant is very selective with colour choice and is quite deliberate in her work. The preschoolers work is quite good- very Pollock in its composition.

The last time I saw something that looked like those pictures was when I drunk to much and was sick. I`m bot making fun of the elephant or pre-schooler though, they have an excause.

Has anyone noticed that Jackson Polluck`s is rymeing slang for BULLOCK`S?
